[ The first time it happened he thought this was it, this is the moment where it kicks in, this is where I go properly crazy and there's no way to stop it and then he remembered that this is Marina and after 9+ months he should maybe not be so quick to jump to devastating conclusions.

Reid tries to go about his day as per usual, stopping by the coffee shop and the library and the school, but he finds himself stopping every so often. It's almost like when you feel the scent of flowers or food cooking on the breeze, but you can't make out the direction. A niggling on a sense he doesn't have, in a language he only barely understands on a normal day and now it's blaring at him in a megaphone to pay attention. Whatever they're doing today, it's bewildering.

And he hasn't even come close to an open flame yet. ]
