[His ears give a twitch at the name, Matt. He remembered being called that not too long ago. It's been a while, even though Toby often used it, but rarely. They called each other their code names usually.]

[He shows one of a little boy hugging a woman, clearly the boy's mother, but he doesn't make commentary on it.]

[Keith spotted the board, too. But Pidge was already there, looking things over. Her shell-shocked look was answered when he spotted at least the one photo he remembered Hunk finding in her backpack the night they pulled Shiro from the Garrison's quarantine unit. He remembered her telling Shiro when they were on the Galra ship looking for the Red Lion that the Holts were her family.]

We'll get them back.

[Sure, he had yelled at her about leaving the team over it, but he didn't want her to just give it up completely. He didn't expect her to. And, now, well, he had family to look for, too. He wasn't going to leave Voltron, but that didn't mean they couldn't balance Paladin duties and their respective searches, right?]

[Shiro leans into see the picture that she was indicating and frowned. He'd heard about it several times, at least once for each paladin's arrival, but given that he had no clue about anything after the teleduv, he couldn't say.

But there it was. The picture of the four of them, Allura, and Coran in the cockpit of the black lion... and he wasn't there. The looks of surprise and concern on Pidge and Hunk's faces. There was no denying something like that]

That... that's really what happens?
