[Morning rolls around, the light through her window difused by the fog drifting around. Hazel gets up, goes through her morning ritual: brushes her teeth, brushes her hair, has breakfast in the kitchen before going to get dressed. Something about today seems off, though she can't place why.]

[Now is not the time for it but at some point he's going to have to get sentimental and tell these kids how much it warms his cold mechanical heart that they let him be their fake prison dad and do hugs and stuff.]

You know what we should do before we panic? We should talk to other people and see what's going on. Maybe it's one of the things that happens in this place. Maybe it's some sort of trick for both of us and neither of these things is real.
