Day 414 / Open action
Jack's out and about today but he's starting to like Mistletoe Days less and less the longer he's here. And especially just now – given the current delicate state of his blue-band relationship, getting caught by a bot today just seems like it'll be asking for trouble!

Nevertheless, he will inevitably get caught. A man can't live without his coffee, and he's determined to make up for his binge drinking over the last couple of days (or twenty years) by getting back into his early morning swim routine.

He's kind of looking for Ianto too. A little too nervous to actually call him and get this talking thing started, more kind of hoping he'll just run into him and – well. Things will just happen.

Coffee is the liquid of life, it's true. Considering how often they bump into each other at the coffee shop, Jack must think Aidan lives there by now — not that he's thinking about any of that. He has a lot to think about, future stuff and past stuff and potential children and Rebecca's reckless plan and-

"Oh! Sorry. Hi."

At least he didn't spill any coffee this time around.

It does seem to be the place they meet most often, though perhaps that's not surprising given how much they share that love of coffee. Unusually wound up or not, Jack can't help remembering other mistletoe-day-encounters in here and directing an amused little smile at Aidan when he comes into the coffee shop and finds the other man already there. Especially when now, overlaying those memories are a new set of admittedly rather fuzzy ones of some point in the future where the two of them ended up doing an awful lot more than just kissing.

He is pleased not to have to deal with spilt coffee this time, though.

"Aidan, hey! Fancy meeting you here." A nod to Taylor the coffee bot for his usual coffee and then he glances behind him towards the doorway. "You know, I don't think I've actually got a bot tailing me yet." A wink. "You might get away with it this time if you run fast enough!"

Truth be told, Aidan has always wanted to have just the one night with Jack, something he can think back on when he's feeling bad about himself. Okay, so maybe that's not at all a secret. Maybe it's painfully obvious, just like how his fair complexion makes the blush creeping up his cheeks really difficult to hide.

Okay. For once in his goddamn life he's going to try and be calm and cool and not act like a dweeb.

"I ain't scared of no bot."

And to show just how calm and cool and not a dweeb he is, he'll take a nonchalant sip of coffee which of course backfires. Too hot. Absolutely burnt the shit out of his mouth, resulting in an awkward cough. So much for that.

	He's just starting to smile in response to Aidan's taunt to the bots when Aidan goes and burns his mouth, and he immediately reaches for the jug of water on the counter and pours Aidan a glass. 	He watches Aidan carefully for a moment, because he knows how much a burnt mouth can hurt, and okay he might also be putting off answering, just a little bit. Or working out how to answer. "Uh. 	He'll be fine, he's made of tougher stuff than this. He'll find a popsicle or something to suck at later and it'll all be good. "Ah, shit... 'm sorry to hear that.
