DAY 399 — Morning Greeting
[Just starting today's morning announcement off with an evil laugh. No big deal.]

Day 399. I suppose it's time to ruin some of that delicious suspense and let you know that costumes of all sorts are available at our many retail locations. You might want to have something on hand for tomorrow. Just saying...

Also, for those of you who could use a few more rehabilitation points, we're accepting volunteers to help with the decorating efforts that will be underway later today. There will be some additional opportunities tomorrow as well.

[Of course, no truly transformative changes will happen today. No special costume hijinks no matter how many times you try on that pirate costume. And while you might notice some jack-o-lanterns and fake cob webs (they are fake, right?) up today, the spooky wonderland effect won't really hit until Day 400. This is just the amuse-bouche. The main course is tomorrow.]
