[ Have you ever been treated to heavy breathing on the end of a phone call? Well, that's the sound you're hearing now, except there's a video to go with it, which is mostly occupied by Kirk's sweat-streaked, dirt smudged, scratched up face. He looks more put upon than hurt, and from the looks of the background he's somewhere green and up high. He's tucked tight against what appears to be a tree trunk, running a hand through his hair and flashing his best charming grin under the circumstances. ]

So, probably not the smartest decision ever in my life, but I've found myself up at tree and in need of some assistance. If anyone has suggestions on how to make it out of Sector 6 with...

_{[ He paused and looked down, moving his lips as his eyes flicked back and forth purposefully. ]}

Let's say around four very unhappy raptors. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

_{[ Hopefully everyone got this without static, but who knows, right? He's hoping for the best. Seems to usually work form. Usually. ]}

Uh... I know I moved further in, but my general direction was West. These things definitely herded me, so I'm not one hundred percent on where I am, but I'm pretty sure I can hear the waterfall not that far off.

Right. Hang tight and I'll be there shortly.

[Twenty minutes later, Kirk might notice a horse coming towards the tree. Quietly. Downwind from the creatures. Mal sits atop the horse, a pitchfork in each hand. The one he plans on using on the raptors, but hopefully he can get the other one to Kirk. Though at the moment, catching the creatures by surprise is the most important part.]

And then he sees the horse, Mal riding with his weapons of choice which make him look like a child playing at being a jouster. He almost laughed, but kept it back so as not to alert the raptors to any sudden changes. Kirk looks to Malcolm and cocks his head in what he hopes communicates the question of "what now"? ]}

[Mal understands what Kirk needs. Hopefully Kirk doesn't mine his lack of planning anything. It only takes a moment before Mal shifts the pitchfork in his right hand to make it a better weapon. And with a whoop, he's off. The raptors all turn their attention to him as he charges, but they don't remember to move until he managed to kill one. He pulls the pitchfork out and tosses it up to Kirk.]

We might have to run for it!

_{[ Kirk can't call anyone out for lack of planning, since that was practically is MO. What? Half the situations he got into no one planned for! Like now.

Kirk watches the dispatching of the raptor with raised, impressed eyebrows, catching the pitchfork on instinct and clutching it, because what was he supposed to do with it? He worked on a farm as a kid, sure, but he hadn't used a pitch fork before. ]}

Just keep them busy long enough for me to get down without breaking a leg!

	[Mal nods, though most of his attention is on the raptors. He may enjoy this, but he also really loves his horse. No use getting her maimed for his enjoyment. [Mal grunts in response, focused solely on getting out of sector 6 without losing Kirk or the horse. Even so, when they reach the threshold, he lets out a whoop as they leave. Dangerous as it was, Mal enjoys the thrill of fighting the dinosaurs. He holds back on the reigns enough to force Serenity into a walk and pats her neck before turning his head to talk to his companion.]

You all right back there? Didn't lose any limbs or the like?
