392 - Kite Mingle

[If you're outside today it will be hard to miss all the whimsical, high-flying kites. Might as well get some of your own or spend some time getting them out of trees.]

[He is immune to such glares.]

More like a lit fuse.

[Impending explosion.]

Here, let me see it.

It is not so easy as it looks.

[Just check out his pile of broken kites. After a moment, he lifts it up and hands it over however reluctantly however.]

. . .and yet the wind is especially strong. Even enough to carry such large kites.

[He has to have been doing something wrong. Right?

Let's see, though. He takes the handle into only one hand with a steady grip— and then he dashes forward. Due to his leg, with its ability and strength, he's able to move a bit faster than the normal person.

At some point a strong upward gust catches the kite.

See? Easy.]

[ . . . Okay but it has to be easier for the Green Dragon. But nonetheless he seems impressed and maybe a little excited to have it in the air now.]

Oh- it is much higher than my previous attempts. [It kept diving down and crashing to the ground or trees.]

I think a part of it is just luck, honestly.

[Or so it has seemed so far for him.

He gestures for Kija to catch up to where he is and offers the handle to him.]

Here. It's fairly steady now.

[Hurrying up to him he reaches out and takes the handle carefully when prompted. He's tentative and overly careful to start. He doesn't want it to fall again! But he seems rather pleased, and maneuvers it a little to try and get it higher yet.]

Is this your first time too?

classy pun, Kija

[See? It's not too difficult.]

It is. I simply have experience dealing with the wind, that's all.

Perhaps if I throw it really hard next time... [It'll totally work]

Without tearing it again?

[the image of it is amusing]

For some reason the other ones broke.

[It is a mystery]

Perhaps they are not well put together?

I guess it's a possibility. You do have complete control over your claw's strength. Maybe try something different?

Of course I do.

[There was never a doubt, right? But actually he's sort of happy to be praised in such a way.]

Perhaps with that knowledge in mind now, you will let me help in mending your-- [Quick, do you want him mending your clothes Jae-ha? Better think fast!]

[Oh, he got it. Which is why his reply is flat.]

No. Besides, there's more than enough clothing we can find around this place, anyway.

[Speaking of-!] So, of course, we can get another kite. There's quite a few of the around.

[Maybe a dragon shaped one, hm?]

It would be a waste not to repair... [Look at him being conservative with materials and money you should be proud of him.]

But I suppose we can get a new one and turn this in if we want. [Although it's finally in the sky... ]

[But how can it be a waste if everything is free, and that there seem to be more than enough of them?]

Any kind of shape in mind?

Somehow I missed this...

A dragon would be the most fitting if there is one.

[They can get two dragons. What if they have a green one, Jae-Ha.]

[Jae-Ha a dragon is the most fierce thing you can get]

I would not.

[Excuse you, too.]

I'll find a bird with the most beautiful pair of wings.

He supposes a bird is fitting for him at least.]

I can help you look for a fitting one.

That's fine.

[He could add that they can't pick one with any or all of the following: green, yellow, blue, white, or red- so, no dragon affiliation at all, but that's no fun.

He gestures towards one of the shops which recently appeared.]

This way.

[Following along, he eyes the many other kites they pass as they move in curiosity. There are so many different kinds.]

It is curious how the kites fly, even without having wings like a bird. Some are so large and heavy that it seems that they should fall right out of the sky.

[He begins to look through a few of them once they arrive.]

Easy. It's the wind. Although the larger, heavier ones probably require much stronger gusts. I think it also can depend on luck, though.

[Looking through the kites himself, he finds a rather large one with what appears to be a mix between a dragon and a bird.

Lifting it up proudly, he turns to his companion.]

Jae-Ha! I have found the perfect kite.

You really don't give up on the dragon theme, do you.

[The most rhetorical question ever. He's amused either way.]

It looks like it'll take quite a bit to get it going.
