[Congrats MarinaNova - here is a Yuuki look-alike. She looks almost exactly like the young Kuran except her hair is slightly more wavy. Perhaps Yuuki is trying out a new look. Or not. Either way, Ai has already gotten rid of her orange jumpsuit because no way was she going to be seen in that hideous thing. Instead she's acquired a maroon dress that suits her much better.]

I've been sent to a prison? That list of crimes doesn't even make any sense! You can't claim someone was disturbing the peace if they're doing their job as a prefect. [And... some of those other things as well. Quieter now:] Mother is going to be upset.

To sentence someone to prison without even giving them a trial is unjust. Who do I speak with in order to dispute these charges? Surely there's a lawyer somewhere that I can consult.

Action - For Yuuki

[With her wardrobe and phone call taken care of, Ai takes the opportunity to look around the prison. Wandering through the different sectors because surely there has to be somewhere to sleep other than to become a hobo and find some store doorway to call 'home'. Her map says there are apartment buildings but of course Ai has to check them out before deciding which one to live in.

It's in her search that she comes across someone familiar. Though her hair is shorter than Ai last saw, she speeds up to head Yuuki off before she disappears.]

Mother!

[Well, at least her mother can't be mad for ending up in prison...]

[No, the pain is all hers. There isn't anyone else she can share this with. Not unless someone was witness to her memories and emotions. Which was possible with the individual she was currently talking to.

It's strange to have him say her name as if it's a new experience. Because it is and isn't at the same time. Zero has never said it but Ai has heard him say it before.

She doesn't comment on that or the upturn of his lips or the crease in his forehead.]

Sixteen. Though for you it could be between sixteen to twenty years that separate us.

Twenty then. You have four more years before you'll meet me back home. Was father... ['Asleep' - 'entombed' - 'gone'. All words Ai doesn't say just in case he doesn't know.

But it does tell him that she is definitely Kaname's daughter.]

[He says aloud this time. It already gives away what she's tentative about.]

For me it's been a month since he gave his heart to the furnace, and was encased in ice.

[There's no bitterness at all within both his words and expression. He's never liked, nor will ever forgive Kaname Kuran for everything he's done, but he has settled those emotions.

On the opposite side, however, it's rather clear upon his face how he feels about something else- ]

Yuuki, though. She. . . The last she remembers is quite a bit before that. I thought that my telling her what happens to him would be all right, as I know one thing she hates the most is being left in the dark, but— [His hair shades his eyes with a slight tip of his head.] She's completely devastated. I made a huge mistake.

Father is still like that. [Meaning that Ai has never actually met him other than to visit his tomb.

But she knows Zero's feelings about Kaname. Knows that even after all these years he'll never forgive her father. But that doesn't affect his feelings towards her or her mother.

A slight frown crosses her face at hearing that information. Well, of course her mother would be devastated to hear about her father's fate.]

She would have been more upset had you not told her. [If Yuuki had found out through memories by drinking Zero's blood it would have been worse.] Mother will get better.

[Ai says it with confidence.]

Yeah. I know.

[Even though it only makes him feel very marginally better. Either way there's still a great deal of guilt for having hurt her in that sort of manner. Even more so- ]

She will be. Although, being here in general. . . [There's nothing truly good, here.] The both of us have been here before. Only, I have absolutely no memory of that time, while she does. It's only been hurting her more.

[Of course Aidou has been taking care of it. He's so adamant about saving her father which means he has to preserve his body.

Ai listens to the situation and she can understand her mother's feelings. After all, she is currently facing someone she cares about who doesn't remember all of the things they've been through. Doesn't remember all of the time they spent together.

And she takes in a deep breath.]

It isn't your fault that you can't remember. Mother understands that and doesn't blame you. [Ai isn't just speaking for Yuuki, she's speaking for herself as well. Something Zero will probably pick up on.]

[He really can only imagine it must be like that. It also goes for him in that Yuuki can't remember matters from home in the way he can. It leaves him to wonder how different things may be if she had. After all, she still is an emotional mess regarding Kuran.]

She doesn't. I know.

[That doesn't mean he isn't aching anyway. His brows slightly knit. There's a faint, though saddened and bittersweet look to his expression and within his eyes.

He's silent for a lingering moment after.]

I'm also sorry that I'm not familiar with you, but—

[He says, anyway. A bit more stalling this time, however the assurance is clear within his voice.]

. . .I'm glad we're able to meet, Ai.
