Day 332 - closed to Ton
[ It was a morning like any other. A morning just like yesterday and the day before that, of warmth and curling up against Ton's back, arm loosely draped over his waist. An arm that's a little heavier today than it was the morning before — there's still a ring on her finger.

She smiles happily in her half-sleep, burrowing her nose into his spine. A sneaky tactic to get him to wake up, for sure. If this doesn't work she might just toss Gadget on him. ]

Because it only takes one person going to the press - or hell, these days even just social media - with stories about any one of the very real threats to the human race we face every day to stir up something that has the general public getting in our way as we try to save them.

I meant back home, all of that. Here... No, of course I don't want to forget that. That was wonderful. [Spoken simply, a surprising lack of dramatics, considering this is Jack, but it's very evident that he really means it.]

I was mostly joking, really. I haven't ever actually used it on myself like that. [No matter how tempted he's been, more than once.] Only on occasions when forgetting something was absolutely, critically necessary.
