Day 332 - closed to Ton
[ It was a morning like any other. A morning just like yesterday and the day before that, of warmth and curling up against Ton's back, arm loosely draped over his waist. An arm that's a little heavier today than it was the morning before — there's still a ring on her finger.

She smiles happily in her half-sleep, burrowing her nose into his spine. A sneaky tactic to get him to wake up, for sure. If this doesn't work she might just toss Gadget on him. ]

	[Chuckling] It's not exactly a secret. I'm a hundred and seventy years old. Of course I've been married before! [A slightly coy look.] I don't tend to go round advertising it, though. Because it only takes one person going to the press - or hell, these days even just social media - with stories about any one of the very real threats to the human race we face every day to stir up something that has the general public getting in our way as we try to save them.

I meant back home, all of that. Here... No, of course I don't want to forget that. That was wonderful. [Spoken simply, a surprising lack of dramatics, considering this is Jack, but it's very evident that he really means it.]

I was mostly joking, really. I haven't ever actually used it on myself like that. [No matter how tempted he's been, more than once.] Only on occasions when forgetting something was absolutely, critically necessary.

[They're not brilliant reasons, admittedly, but Jack's had a long time to justify them to himself. Especially since he's been retconning people right back since he was a Time Agent. Any outrage he ever felt at the idea was a long, long time ago.

Which is why he grabs the opportunity to abandon that side of the conversation with both hands, when she gifts him with an opening.]

I don't want to forget you either. Yesterday was wonderful. I had so much family around me - I felt so warm, so loved, so wanted...
