Day 302 愛 video
[Though she'd been confused and disoriented at first, her time there had quickly begun to come back to her. She wasn't pleased to find herself back in the underwater prison, not at all but she knew it wasn't something she could change.

Inara had decided to wait a while to make any sort of announcement that she was back. She'd headed back to the apartment she'd called her own, wanting to change into something other than the hideous orange jumpsuit she'd awoken in. But she'd found her apartment bare, cleaned out of the things she'd collected the last time she'd been there.

Sighing, she composed herself and then she was ready to announce she was back, even though she was still in her orange jumpsuit. She manages a wary smile and shrugs her shoulders a little.]

Hello... I was here once before, though I'm not certain how much time has passed between now and then [~~about two weeks~~], but I suppose in the grand scheme of things it doesn't truly matter. For those of you who weren't here when I was last or I hadn't had a chance to meet, I'm Inara Serra.

[She hesitates a moment and then glances around her apartment.]

Is it normal for things you had here before to disappear?

[ now that deanna's feeling just a little better -- yesterday had been super rough -- she's up for replying via video. though she looks tired and worn around the edges still, her smile is genuine when she responds. she had honestly liked inara during the times they had spoken. ]

Good to see you again. I can't say as to your things, but I would imagine the wardens might have confiscated some things they might want you to have to re-earn.

[ they're jerks. they're weird. she wouldn't put it past them. ]

	[ they had gotten along very well when they'd met and deanna is happy to see her "awake" again. ] Mal? [ that's surprising. in a way. though if she squints and tilts her head, it makes sense from what she knows of him. ] Did he want to keep them because they were yours? [ it's a positive when faced with what deanna knows about the pods and the sleeping people. at least it is in her opinion. regardless, it is good to see inara again. ]

Perhaps he wanted to protect them, but I suppose that is something you will have to ask him. [ some people just like making sure their important people's things don't get ruined or stolen. ]

Perhaps. I don't think I'll ever quite know why Mal does what he does. [Which is probably why she's so fascinated by him. She's normally able to read people rather well, but with him? She was always guessing.]

I am actually, well as best as one can given the situation. I'm waiting for Mal to return so I can at least have my clothes back. [Her trinkets are another story. Looks like she's going to have to start collecting again.]

And I will, thank you. If you're available for tea sometime, I'd actually quite like that.

At least he was able to keep those safe for you.

[ she knows the feeling, though. the difference is that she knows will so well that she can predict a good number of his thoughts and reactions. that's part of why they work so well together. sometimes he does surprise her, though, and always in a good way these days. she does miss him a great deal. ]

I would love to. I'm free most days. [ her smile widens, which is impressive as of late. she could use every friend she can get here, especially recently with losing data and finding out what really happens to those who leave the prison. and with the similarities in their chosen professions, deanna feels more at ease with inara than a lot of other people here. ] Perhaps after you've gotten your clothes back?

	Yes, at least he was able to do that. [It just doesn't make any sense to her why he would but she's not entirely sure she wants to know why.] That would probably be the best idea... And maybe once I get some furniture again and make... Well I suppose just settle a bit. (Reply to this) (Parent)
