[You have an adventurer's spirit, or maybe you're just following the crowd, whatever the case, you've left the central core behind.

What else is there to see and do and find? Hungry? Maybe you can find yourself a delicious pill to eat in the cafeteria. Or maybe you want to spend your time and energy breaking into a closet in the dormitory. Explore. Make some memories. You may even end up keeping them.

But how much longer do you think it will be before someone puts you back in those pods you so recklessly abandoned?]

	Ah, yes. I believe that happened shortly before I arrived. The squid attack was some time later. We were only there a day, but it looked a lot more like this place than the other dome. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	[Unnerving as this situation is it's quite a relief to meet someone who shares the same instinct to puzzle out a situation like this that he does.] I think it's a fairly safe assumption that we aren't supposed to be here at all. 	Good question. I've run into a few people here but no one seems quite sure. But given that there are some prisoners still in those pods it seems safe to say only those who went through doors woke up. Showing us something like this does seem deliberate but I don't know who would be behind it. Seems a bit beyond the reach of the giant squid. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I'm afraid the details were a bit vague. It was after I'd first arrived. Something about a vampire, and you overstepping your bounds. I got the impression something had happened - someone had caused some trouble? - and rather than let the wardens deal with it their way, the Defense Force took matters into their own hands. [Ianto actually goes a bit red and coughs, shifting awkwardly.] Ah, yes. I'm afraid I may have been the cause of that. Jack and Spike had been at odds with each other for some time and Spike attacked me out of retaliation. I suppose you could say things escalated from there, and ended with Spike's soul being returned. I'll be the first to agree with you its a morally complicated issue.

[Ianto smiles, a little sadly.] I'm afraid you'd have to ask Jack that. It was always more his fight than mine. But if I could guess I would say he'd tell you it was for the good of everyone, but I can't guarentee that was entirely the truth. There are... Complications, to put it delicately. I like to hope it's made things safe, sine he did Attack quite a lot of people towards the end, but I don't know if there might not have been a better way to handle things.
