:: ACTION ::

[ About time for him to be dealing with something completely wacky. What's it been now? A month? That's got to be a record.

The last thing Dean remembers is heading to bed for a nap after checking in on Ben. Lisa was out with a few friends and wouldn’t be back until later. Dean had set the alarm, but that obviously never rang.

Scrolling through the various posts in the communicator, he listens to the random messages and takes a moment to watch some of the videos, trying to spot a familiar face. Dean has no idea what's going on here except apparently he's been imprisoned.

He's not worried though. This isn't the first time he's found himself trapped somewhere and it won't be his last. Underwater prison or not, there's bound to be a way out of here. He's escaped Hell. This should be a walk in the park -- a very wet, very muddy park, but no big deal.

Keeping out of sight, Dean heads in the direction of the apartment buildings in Sector 4, intending on breaking into one in order to get hold of a weapon. A silver fork, a kitchen knife, a hammer. Whatever. Judging by what he's seeing here, this place doesn't look like much of a prison and the folks, oddly enough seem alright — they sure as hell don't look dangerous for a bunch of criminals, but he's not about to take any chances. ]

:: AUDIO/VIDEO ::

[ As he's heading up the stairs in one of the buildings, he turns on the communicator again and decides to try getting in contact with his friends back home. Figured it'd be worth a shot, right? ]

Bobby? ... Bobby Singer? Castiel? [ When that doesn't work, Dean decides to verbally state the name of his brother -- Sam Winchester -- for the heck of it. It's then that the call seems to go through and he just stands there dumbfounded for a second or two.

See, Sam had died back home and it's just been a little over a month. He'd promised Sam he wouldn't try to get him back, but knowing what he knows about what it's like down there in the pit, he couldn't just sit around and do nothing. He'd tried everything to get his brother back, but so far, nothing had worked.

Well, nothing had worked until now. ]

Sam? Sammy you there? [ Dean probably should have made this audio call a private one, but he hasn't figured out how to and frankly, he doesn't give a shit right now -- so yep, this is 100% public. ]

Sam, if you’re out there…

[ Not willing to just stand there and wait for a response, Dean decides to make a video post. ]

Anyone knows where I can get a hold of a Sam Winchester? He's tall. A bit of a… a geek. He's my brother. [ That last bit comes out a bit shaky.

Dean had tried his best to live that life that Sam had wanted for him; or that Sam had thought he wanted. He'd moved in with Lisa and Ben and had gotten a job as a construction worker and you’d think everything was fine and dandy, but the truth is, he'd been hurting. Every minute of every damn day, he'd been mourning Sam's death. The nightmares, the paranoia, the urge to pick up a gun, to get back in the hunt, to ride out of town and never look back again; it was always there. He couldn't shake it, but somehow — somehow he'd managed to stick to that brand new life of his even though the guilt was eating away at him. ]

Well, trust my brother to not turn away from a pretty face. [ Dishing out compliments to some random chick in prison. That's one more off the bucket list. ] Look, I uh wanted to say thanks. I spoke to him.

I'm sure I was absolutely devastating covered in mud. [Cracking a wry grin.] There was... You should watch where you walk.

[It takes skills to face-plant into a puddle five second after you arrive.]

Uh - [She looks caught between surprised and confused but lifts her shoulder in a shrug.] Yeah it's, no big deal. I figured you would eventually just - it's talk to you or deal with the fact that I'm in an underwater prison.

Sure hope so. Looks like it, smells like it... [ He takes a quick swig from the bottle and lets out a firm nod. ] Yup. Not bad. [ He'll just be nursing this bottle while casually keeping an eye on his surroundings.

The first word out of his mouth at hearing that there's an all you can eat, all you can drink bar was -- awesome, but despite seeming at ease Dean's not about to let his guard down. ]

[It's been five minutes as prophesied. Some of that was just Sam not being on the network every single second and some of it was just reacting to Dean's arrival. It's not the first time he's been in the dome. He was actually here for awhile even if he did show up after Sam and Cas, but he's also been gone for awhile and somewhere along the line Sam had stopped waiting for him on these days.

He's glad to see him, really, really glad, but there's that other thing. The thing where just a few days ago the wardens decided to update his memories by about a year—a soulless year. He couldn't remember all the details now—barely any really—but he caught the highlights. He knows they stopped Lucifer. He knows his soul is being tortured while he's out and about. He knows what he was about to do to Bobby. How is he supposed to look Dean in the eye knowing...

But look he does. He even manages something close to casual.]

Really? A tall geek?

[ It was an odd question to ask, but Dean figures Sam deserves to know. ] I was at Lisa's. [ He hadn't been living the life he wanted. He just didn't know what else to do. ]

You've been gone for a month. [ 37 days to be exact. ] Hey, you mind if uh... we have a face to face conversation? [ He didn't exactly trust who he was speaking to and didn't want to reveal too much until he was sure. ]

Yeah, yeah, of course. I'm in Sector 2 in the apartments there [where he can meet his former dog, Salty] or I can just meet you. Where are you?

[ Seeing Sam alive -- again -- shouldn't come as too much of a surprise anymore considering what they'd both been through. Except he hadn't made a deal with a crossroads demon and this isn't home. It's an underwater prison. This might not even be real. But whatever it is, he's still glad to see his brother. Heck, he'll be even more glad once they get through this whole holy water, silver knife, you're not a demon or a shapeshifter crap.

Spotting Sam across the street, Dean heads towards him. ]

Sam. [ He lets out a nod in greeting and slips the table knife out of his sleeve. ]

Man, I don't think it's even silver.

[He sighs, but this isn't really unexpected is it? He'd be doing the same thing in Dean's place.] I have actual silver and holy water inside. But it's me, Dean. The last thing I remember from home was dealing with things at Blue Earth, Minnesota.* [This isn't entirely true since the wardens decided to give him a temporary memory jog taking him all the way through to some pretty gruesome memories of trying to keep his soul out by attempting to kill Bobby. But he also doesn't feel those memories the same way. He doesn't remember most of them. And it's a lot more complicated to get into.]

This place can pull you out of any point in time. That's why you remember things that I don't. [Keeping his eye flickering to that knife now and then.]

[ One of them most likely showed up here pretending to be him because he sure as hell can't remember ever being in this underwater prison, and he'd like to straight out reject the idea of having had his memory altered. It's enough that the technology in this place is already making him think of aliens and abductions and that's already sent a chill down his spine. ]

[Dean isn't the only person sneaking around Sector Four.

To be fair, Nathan isn't sneaking on purpose. That's just how he walks; the hunched shoulders and twitchy, furtive looks give him a permanent sneaking vibe. He's wandering aimlessly through the dome, half paying attention to the damage caused by yesterday's storm, half immersed in his own thoughts, and wholly oblivious to Dean until he's nearly on top of him.

The kid glances up at Dean--way up, since Dean is a giant--before returning his attention to the ground.] You're new?
