[ This is not the syndicate laboratory. The boy looks around himself in a panic before noticing the message playing on the headset he's been given. The welcome message makes sense, he guesses; the list of crimes, not so much. There are a couple that he can understand why, in theory, somebody might accuse him of them, but he has no idea where most of the rest of them came from.

He's never even driven a car before, let alone without a license. Or while asleep.

And he's never heard of any MarinaNova Asylum. Well, that's easily solved with a simple lookup. Standing right there in the middle of the sidewalk in Sector 2, paying no mind to the storm damage surrounding him, he closes his eyes and spreads his arms to his sides.

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing. He can't access the Gaia Library. This... is not good. ]

[ The boy on the video feed is visibly disheveled. His hair is a mop-like mess and there's a look of disorientation in his eyes that goes beyond the usual new arrival. ]

What is this place? I can't look anything up. I need to-- my research, I can't be here--

Alright, then. The issue is that you can't look anything up, right? Are we talking internet, or library here? Because, I hate to say...you're out of luck in one of those departments.

It's a collection of all of the information in the world. Normally there is no problem, but right now find myself unable to access it.

[Trying not to take that personally here. In fact, normally, she would have been a lot more sympathetic to his freakout. But that was before she received a certain peal that heightened certain...attributes. In her case, personal pride.]

Something to do with either being at the far bottom of the ocean--which ocean, no, nobody knows--or the two robot overloads passing themselves off as Wardens. Well, let's see...

If I had to predict, based on whether or not Connie or V are the ones greeting us that particular day? Punishments could range anywhere from having to sleep outside for a week. In the octopus-tornados. Or you might have to star in your own reality show. No privacy at all. Except maybe in the bathroom--at least, we hope.

Oh, or you could end up with some bizarre trade for a few days and have to help people build box cars or canoes or something.
