Day 290 | Open Action | Rewound

[Kitty feels the morning upon her and a body by her side—warm, soft, and utterly wrong. Her eyes shoot open and dart around the room. No immediate threats except this sleeping man who is definitely not Piotr by any stretch of the imagination. She's never seen this space before but there is something eerily familiar about it. Tomorrow she may be able to place that it's just knowing things are of her taste and in arrangements she might make. Tomorrow that will make sense. Today, it's just a piece of a very large puzzle she must sort through.

Her mind spins as she tries to get a handle on things. They were in battle. Piotr was threatening the mission. She stood in his way as he charged to talk him down and then... And then nothing. Nothing past that. No connection to this moment. Is this...? Is this it? Is this what happens after they reset the timeline? Did they retain their memories?

Or is it a trick? Did they fail? Was she taken? Is this some telepath's illusion? She needed answers and she needed them fast. She makes a grab for the nearest weapon—in this case, a hairbrush. In a quick move she straddles her prey weightlessly and plunges the brush through his chest. The handle falling into his heart—phased and harmless for now.]

Wake up. Move and I let go of this. I let go and it fuses with your heart and you die. I have questions. You need good answers to keep living.

[Kitty didn't take her communicator with her this morning. In truth she didn't even realize it was hers. As luck would have it she also didn't take her claws, not seeing where she had secured them the night before. She can still be dangerous though. She eyes the prison with suspicion as she explores.

She doesn't remember anything of her time here. Her last memories are of battle at home. She doesn't remember taking over the Defense Force or learning to love again after Piotr. She doesn't even remember what it's like to have humans not fear and hate her for what she is. She's moving stealthily, but she's bound to encounter others.]

(OOC: Just as a warning she is very distrusting right now and she could be dangerous. If that's not an avenue you want to hazard you may not want to engage. Then again, she's not needlessly violent so danger is also not a promise! She speaks English and Japanese among other languages. If your character does not speak one of these then please let me know what they are speaking in the tag. They will still understand her as long as they have their communicator on.)

[ He should probably be more prepared for rough awakenings by now, considering how often they happen but having his very own assassin girlfriend sleeping next to him kinda made him lower his guard. A bad, bad choice, seeing as he once again wakes up with his heart in his throat and his life in immediate peril. ]

Kitty... [ Swallowing sharply, he remains as still as one can possibly be with a hairbrush sticking out of his chest. ] What's wrong?

[ Well fuck. Should've seen it coming, just like she can probably see his heart drop straight into his stomach at her response. This much movement this early in the morning is not good for hearts. It may just break before the day is over. ]

[This gambit comes with time constraints as it is. She can't keep herself and it phased indefinitely. And she's never exactly been the kill them while they beg for mercy type. She does what she has to do, but this... She isn't convinced it's necessary yet. She keeps her eyes on him as she slowly pulls the brush free.]

You stay real nice and still and we'll get along fine. I asked you who you are.
