[There's something...different about Zatanna when she appears on screen. She'd always had an air of confidence about her, but right then, that mischeivous twinkle in her eye looked...prideful. Sinfully prideful.]

[The glimmering purple pearl currently hanging from her wrist may or may not have something to do with that.]

Hey, Jack, remember when you mentioned you wanted to see a few of my tricks? I'm down at the rec center, if you still think you're up for it.

[Anybody who stopped by would find the fourteen-year-old magician messing with a few atmospheric spells in the multi-purpose room. While casually sitting atop a pommel horse. Relaxing, one leg crossed over the other. Drinking ~~Starbucks~~ a latte.]

[She may have only had the power for about a year, but Piper had learned to control her explosions fast. It probably helped that she was used to figuring out powers at that point from having had her freezing ability for three years by then. So, this would be a piece of cake.

When Zatanna was ready, she'd start blowing up the mannequins.]

	[Not bad.] [Of course, Zatanna wasn't one to let herself get shown up so easily. She waited until Piper exploded one of the mannequins in line before using her own abilities to self-ignite the next. [Piper was actually pretty impressed with that because of the control involved. Right now, her power was still just explosive. And while she had managed to learn how to aim it so she could use it to deflect incoming attacks, creating a slow burn was something she hadn't figured out, yet.]

I want to make that doll fly.

[Piper's little rhyme set it levitating about a foot above the floor.]

	...yeah, I'll never get the whole rhyming thing. It seems like too much effort. [Compared to the girl who then proceeds to utter a few backwards words and summon the mannequin back down into the earth, swallowing it within seconds.] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, but what you just said didn't sound like words. [Backwards mumble jumble or casting in foreign languages was beyond her ~~at this point in canon~~. She laughed a little, though, because she was happy no matter what anyway. She wasn't being mean.]

Hm...

[She considered the next one for a moment. Her freezing power wouldn't do much to it at all. It was already frozen! Haha!

But she'd already done the explosion. She didn't have any potions on her. It would have to be another spell now. But, what to do...]

Plastic body, full of sheen...
Make this mannequin sight unseen.

[And it was gone. Was it invisible or moved? Hard to tell from here, but Piper knew it was just invisible.]

	Not so much that, but more along the lines of I just can't speak them, and haven't had a need for spells that advanced. [She will, probably, need them eventually, but not right now in her canon. And, for now, she sounded really nonchalant about that, too.] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
