Day 268 [Open — voice & action] [Closed video & voice]
[It was the heaviness Kitty noticed first before her eyes were even open. At least waking up in Ton Phanan's body is a pretty good distraction against the pain she normally feels when she wakes up to find Reid went out to sleep on the couch again or even that thread of panic she tries to deny where she fears maybe he disappeared again instead. But this morning is all about figuring out what's going on and damage control. She starts by listening to the vague daypost.]

[It takes awhile before she's ready to test the new body out elsewhere but she isn't going to stay cooped up all day either. There's bound to be some chaos and she needs to do what she can...without her powers. And why are his wrists too large for her claws?]

I suppose you're right. [ she sounds a little amused, more at imagining this happening to her than at kitty's situation. ]

Deep-space exploration. [ she doesn't feel badly admitting this, since kitty's pretty much in the know already. ] Starfleet thought it was important that all starships have a counselor for deep-space missions. The stress and trauma might be too much for the crew to handle on their own.

	No, it isn't, especially when we don't get to see planets we know, if any at all, very often. My ship alone doesn't often get back to Earth. [ well... it didn't when she was serving on the enterprise. she has no idea what it'll be like on the titan, but since she's trying to keep up a certain story, she's avoiding mentioning the titan at all. ] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	No, but that is home for a lot of people. I do get homesick sometimes, but I feel that what we do is very important as well. If I didn't enjoy it, I would not have agreed to the posting. I suppose it balances itself in the end. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Yes, it is. [ it is now, anyway. with the war over and betazed back to being a dominion-free planet, there's always the option. besides that, there's still a betazoid wedding and a honeymoon that need to happen and at least one of those was going to be on her homeplanet. ] I think, when we return to the Federation, I will want to spend some time on Betazed.
