Day 268 [Open — voice & action] [Closed video & voice]
[It was the heaviness Kitty noticed first before her eyes were even open. At least waking up in Ton Phanan's body is a pretty good distraction against the pain she normally feels when she wakes up to find Reid went out to sleep on the couch again or even that thread of panic she tries to deny where she fears maybe he disappeared again instead. But this morning is all about figuring out what's going on and damage control. She starts by listening to the vague daypost.]

Stop touching my boobs. [The voice sounds and feels very wrong to her. She even clears her throat, but it doesn't change anything.]

Hey. We have a situation. [She keeps her voice low since he's likely in the next room. She really wishes these things would text suddenly.]

You've probably already noticed something strange going on. I want to get a head count here. Who is affected? Who isn't? Anyone in danger with this? Let me know and we can get the force working on it.

Oh, and this isn't Ton.

[It takes awhile before she's ready to test the new body out elsewhere but she isn't going to stay cooped up all day either. There's bound to be some chaos and she needs to do what she can...without her powers. And why are his wrists too large for her claws?]

Oh! At our Christmas party, you and Ianto invented a drinking game based on how many people I’d kiss under the mistletoe?

Ianto can vouch for me too. I think he’s just about recovered from the shock of waking up next to me this morning!

Yeah. Uh, so obviously there’s a number of us affected by this. Is there anything we can do to try and reverse it, or do we just assume this is another of the warden’s little games and everything will be right by morning?

[Though he doesn’t honestly know how he’s going to get through even a whole day wearing Spike’s body, and knowing Spike’s out there somewhere wearing his.]

	Well, I'm not sure what Conscienti was going on about with empathy and footwear, but something is definitely up. I feel like this is all tied to... Walking in someone else's shoes. 	I'm still guessing here, but it sounds right and it wouldn't surprise me if it was on purpose. Less sure it's to help. I'm not sure if there is some grander reason for me being in Ton's body though. 	Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Ianto’s already smelling far too tasty – and not just in the normal way! [A rather dark attempt at his own usual brand of humour.] So far, it’s just kind of like being really hungry and surrounded by loads of delicious food smells, but I don’t know how bad it gets if I leave it longer than I normally would between meals. Enhanced senses are a part of the package, yeah. [Which he'd read about, but hadn't really comprehended until he experienced it for himself.] It's like everything's... brighter? Clearer. Vision, hearing, smell, everything.

[And yes, this is him finally looking beyond the 'poor me' aspect of this and realising he might actually be able to learn something useful with this.]
