Rowan groaned in pain, having been forcefully woken up by hitting the ground. That was a first for him. He had a queen sized bed, how did he end up on the ground? Pushing himself up to a sitting position, he looked around. Oh, that's why he was on the ground. Who's bright idea was it for him to sleep on a park bench? Wait, why was he in a park, and not at home? Did he have one too many drinks and just passed out somewhere? Oh this was making his head hurt...

And then the welcome message. He managed to get through the opening statements, but when the list of his supposed crimes came up, he was done. So done. He pulled the communicator off of his face, then sat there staring at the strange device, contemplating everything and muttering to himself.

"Crazy technology, overalls ripped off from every prison show ever, waking up in the middle of a park with no knowledge of how I got here... Clearly, either someone is really good at coming up with elaborate pranks, or I've gone crazy."

	And I regret that. [He didn't know what he was expecting. He's familiar with "manwhores". His dad is a god. Every kid at camp had a god for a parent. They were not models of loving, monogamous relationships. It wasn't so much the "manwhore" part that got to him, but the throwing out he preferred males.] Okay... Is that a good thing or...? Well, it's not like he was ashamed of his preferences or anything. And what trouble people gave him when he first came out, well, that's probably part of the reason he ended up here in the first place.

He watched Nico for a bit, contemplating.

"I haven't decided yet. I barely even know you. Hell, for all I know, you could be a crazy mass murderer, out to add unsuspecting people who have recently been dumped in the middle of Buttfuck, Nowhere to your list of victims."

Not that he actually believed that, he was just making a point.

If that was the case, that really sucked. And Rowan would not be able to let it go. The more they talked, the more Nico reminded him of his brother, whom he was extremely protective of. Like, we're talking 'you hurt him, imma kick yo ass and probably send you to the hospital' kind of protective.
