260 — Olympics mingle
[ It is a gorgeous day down here at the bottom of the sea and what better day to have an Olympics! The obstacle course is set up, the towels are fluffed, the medals have been polished to a high sheen and every orange within sight has been sliced.

Okay. Maybe not every orange. A lot of them. Enough to fuel a whole prison full of athletes, so athlete away! We can't waste all these oranges! ]

[Haruka's knowledge and experience with the sport definitely gives her the initial advantage as Artemis finds her moves not only being blocked but also pushed back on her. But she didn't get to be on a team full of super-powered teens by not learning and adapting. She is watching her style and the trick will be if she has time to turn it around.

Of course she wants it back on her terms so she moves low and sends a leg out in hopes of sweeping the other girl's feet. The bots will have an interesting time calling this match. But hey, it seems like something that would have happened on Princess Bride so it must be the thing to do, right?]

[ ....So that's how this is going to be. Haruka jumps back to avoid that leg, her expression settling into an amused smirk behind her mask. There's a protest from the bot beside her, but she only pays it enough attention to talk smack at it: ] Oh, like you're one to talk.

[ No-rules fencing sounds more fun anyway. She goes on the offensive again, addressing Artemis while assaulting her with multiple thrusts as fast as she can. She'll try advancing steadily down the strip as she attacks, too. ] You've got an interesting style.

Never learned any other kind. [She smirks back even if the mask is kind of smirk-blocky for her too. Artemis is fast—fast enough to fend off Haruka's attacks, but she's also losing ground as they go, finding herself moving back as the other girl presses onward. She needs to stop playing by Haruka's rules and make some of her own. As good a time for a back flip as any to put additional distance between them just before charging forward.]

[ A backflip?! Better and better! Instead of retreating to fend off Artemis's attack, Haruka ducks and somersaults behind the other girl, coming out of the motion turned around. Now they're occupying opposite positions on the strip.

If she pulls this move off right, and Artemis doesn't react faster than Haruka was anticipating, the moment Artemis turns to face her opponent she'll be confronted with Haruka's foil. If things don't work out like that, though, hey. Improv is what's making this fun. ] Just stay out of the rafters. It's tiring.

Instead of trying to sneak her foil through, this time she's pressing against Artemis's in the hopes of forcing the other woman back. 	You don't say. [ Not as good as the odds of Haruka noticing how much weight's being put behind that foil and trying to jerk hers out and around in an attempt to score. [ And there's a point on Haruka, who got complacent thinking they'd disengage once her touch got through. She should have known better than to think any of the usual rules of fencing applied.

So after it's sunk in that yes, that is the tip of a foil sweeping across her chest, she grins and worms her own weapon free. ] Tied again.

[ Best out of three this time, too? The bot doesn't seem to know what to do with this match any more. ]
