260 — Olympics mingle
[ It is a gorgeous day down here at the bottom of the sea and what better day to have an Olympics! The obstacle course is set up, the towels are fluffed, the medals have been polished to a high sheen and every orange within sight has been sliced.

Okay. Maybe not every orange. A lot of them. Enough to fuel a whole prison full of athletes, so athlete away! We can't waste all these oranges! ]

[ This seems a bit out of the blue, and therefore a bit suspicious, but what the hey? If she doesn't participate, she can't figure out whether there's a catch! (Or maybe she's just getting paranoid.)

Haruka can be found examining the fencing gear or participating in the obstacle course. Specifically, she's stepping through car tires as if there wasn't anything on the ground at all, with a stretch of straight running ahead and then a climbing wall looming on the horizon. Say what you want about this event, it doesn't lack for novelty....

She doesn't look phased, however. In fact, there's a sense of graceful beauty in the ease with which she attacks even this rather ridiculous undertaking. ]

Interesting. [ That hadn't occurred to her. Sports as another way to assess the Wardens, maybe also their fellow inmates? Haruka supposes she can see that.

Her focus is mostly on herself, however. Glancing up, she surveys the wall, mentally selecting handholds for the rest of the ascent. If she takes that way, and then moves over there... ]

I'll be going ahead, then.

[ She's not really taking this super seriously, however, so there's a good chance you'll be able to catch up with her later. ]

It might be interesting to hear the conclusions you drew from all this at some point, but chances are you're still formulating them and, well, Haruka has an obstacle course to tackle. 	I guess we're about to find out. [She can definitely fight with blades, but foils are absolutely new to her. She's better with throwing knives or daggers. In fact she's not even sure what the difference between the two sword choices are, but the epée feels a bit more solid to her, so she nods in its direction.] What about you? [ It's immediately clear to Haruka that Artemis has never fenced before, but it's also clear that she's an athlete and knows what she's doing with her body. This will be a bit more of a freeform match than usual for fencing, then. Haruka doesn't mind. If the bots have a problem they can just disqualify them both; she's more interested in having a good spar.

Her own blade comes up to block any coming thrusts, and her legs are tensed to dart forward if that happens. Turning defensive moves into offensive ones is one of the tenets of fencing. She'll use that to her advantage if she can. ]
