|[ EDUCATIONAL FACILITY: ROOM 5 ]|

[The truth is Rudy really doesn't know the first thing about teaching, and he doesn't particularly care to figure it out; but this is a good excuse to set up a studio and get some brownie points with the powers that be. He's got to keep busy, after all.

He's in the studio early, setting up a few simple tableaux of items for his 'students' to draw or paint-- the ubiquitous bowl of fruit; a collection of random, mismatched glassware; a tumbled pile of loose fabric, draped over a wooden box; a bouquet of cut flowers laid on their sides.

As for himself, he's got a large pad of paper off to the side of the room, and by the time the class officially starts, he's already sketching vague charcoal lines.

Now it's a matter of seeing whether anyone shows up.]

|[ooc; backdated to early this dayweek~ this will be a bit more of a mingle, please feel free to bounce around in threads and do whatever! I will get around as much as I can and hopefully class on 258 will have a bit more substance.]|

It's alright. I'm sure I have too many clothes as it is. Maybe this is a reminder. I hope it didn't spoil your art project.

Oh, I think there was no saving my painting, but I'm glad you like it. I came with the sole intention of making a mess. Its always nice to succeed at a goal.

Why would you want to make a mess?

Its just the sort of thing I do. I like being weird. So, what were you working on before I interrupted?

I was trying to paint the bouquet of flowers, but I think I really interrupted you instead. [She tilts her head, curious.] Why do you say you like being weird?

[He doesn't say 'Because I want people to notice something - anything - about me besides my face.' He just flashes another one of those cheerful smirks.] Because life should be interesting and its hard not to be weird when you're having fun.

[His real answer might have earned him some concern. Maybe even a hug for a stranger, but the answer he gives is returned with a smile.] That sounds like a very good reason to be weird. I'm having fun too. [At least she is now.]

[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<font [...] he's>') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

<font size="2"[Precisely the reason he doesn't mention it. He's a mess on a lot of levels, and he doesn't really like dealing with any of them.]</font> I talked to you on my first day, right? You told me about classes. Looks like you were right about them being worth my time.

[It's okay. Euphie doesn't think your markup is irreparably invalid.]

Of course I was. [She smiles a little. The confidence comes out more like teasing than actual confidence.] It wouldn't be the same to throw paint on the floor without directed supervision.

[He's so glad she doesn't judge him even though owner must fix manually.]

I figured that was what you meant. Does this sort of thing happen in all the classes?

That might depend on you, but I would say no. Most classes stay cleaner than this except maybe cooking.

Ah... When we have a cooking professor. [They just lost one. Her brother. So if she seems sad about it, there's a better reason.]

Something happen to the last one?

He disappeared two days ago. [Again. She just keeps losing them. Once when they were children and they were all told he'd died. And now over and over again as he yo-yos between being in prison or not. You'd think she'd be used to it by now, but it hurts every time.]

Lelouch. Did you know him?

[She brushes back some of her hair, trying to keep it out of the paint that was splashed on her earlier.] He's one of my brothers. But, yes, he is a friend too. I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to know him.

Just two days ago. It's alright. It's not the first time. [That actually in no way makes it mire alright, but she feels like she should say reassuring things.]

Sorry to hear that. I bet that makes it worse. What happens to people who vanish here? Or is that an insensitive, too soon question?

[She shakes her head just a little. Maybe it isn't the best thing to talk about right now, but helping makes her feel better and often just being able to explain the prison is the best way for her to do that.] We don't know exactly. The wardens always say they are lost in the dimensional stabilizer. I was lost there twice myself. Once I returned without any memories of this place and the other time I still had them...along with more from home. But I don't remember anything about being lost.

[He might not seem like a sympathetic person, but right now he doesn't think learning more about dimensional stabilizers is as important as not making a nice girl who just lost her brother talk about it. He also doesn't feel like he needs to say that out loud, so he does it a different way.]

I feel like serious discussions are hard to have when I have this much paint on my face, but I could be wrong. I wonder if I should clean this up?

[He glances around until he spots some towels and tosses her one, scrubbing the other across his face and getting most of the paint. There's still a little blue scattered throughout his hair and caught in crevices on his facial prosthetic but its better than before.] I feel like its going to take days for my beautiful piece of art to dry.

[She dabs at her dress with the offered towel. It's certainly a mess, but she isn't so concerned.] That could be. I think it will be safe here though sometimes the robots go through cleaning up areas and removing things that have been left there. It might be better to move it home if you can, but...it might drip.
