[The Devil's Compass is no longer littered with candles, save perhaps a few on the bar that add a little something to the dim lighting that recreates the old-world style of tavern the place is modeled after. It's actually quite clean otherwise, with Tyki lounging in one of the booths with a bent knee up on the seat and the camera looking at him sitting there with a cigarette drooping out of the corner of his mouth.]

If you haven't been to the Devil's Compass yet for the drink or my company, I'll give you two further incentives.

[Sidelong he reaches to crush out the cigarette, a plume of smoke coiling upward.]

One, there's fresh pie thanks to the lovely Charlotte.

[His eyes flick up to the camera with a dangerous glint while his lips curl.] Second, this week we've also got a barmaid. She doesn't bite but she might scratch.

[And so Tyki's bar is open as always but with a mingle! And for the next week Kitty Pryde (the elder) will be roped into being the Compass' barmaid due to a bet gone wrong. Tyki will be exceptionally cheerful about this, more often behind the bar than usual (which in itself is fairly often) at least while she's on the job. This means he'll be rather friendly and talkative. Best time to meet him, really. He'll have a thread right here.]

	Yes... I'm well aware of that. However, it's the best we have at the moment. [Not that it was very good, but there wasn't much that he could tell Tieria. But he did take a step back so Tieria couldn't lash out at him as quick if he felt so inclined to do so] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[It was highly unlikely Tieria was going to be lashing out at anyone very quickly, regardless of how close they were. He could feel his balance was horribly off, and he wasn't in the mood to take the table and chair down with him.

That would just make things worse.

He almost growled, and then sagged a bit, putting his head into his hands.]

	After the raptor incident, I spoke with the Wardens. I asked about other facilities, and if transfers between them were common. [He stared intently at the glass on the table.] I asked about those who were gone from here... who had been here. [His jaw visibly clenched in anger.] I hate feeling helpless. 	[Tieria wasn't sure if he was convinced. He'd seen the inside of the dimensional stabilizer in the other dome. He didn't know if people could really get home or not, and he was pretty convinced that they could get stuck in limbo like that. It wasn't all that far fetched for him. Okay.

[He wasn't going to argue with that anymore. There was no point in staying. Not that there was much of one in going because it didn't change anything, but it was probably a better location, at least. He got up slowly, swaying a bit as he felt the room spin a little, and held on to the table to keep his balance.]

[Not wrong. Just… Tieria was wondering about love! How did that happen?! Tieria and love just didn’t seem to go together. He sighs as Tieria steps away]

I guess you know you like someone when… You really want to be with them. You can't wait to be with them again. It's a strange lightness that doesn't happen any other time.

[He'd been thinking about Veridical and the comments it made about his interest in others from outside the circle of those from his home. He couldn't explain his feelings and it wasn't just that he liked them.
