So, barring further unfortunate invasions of prehistoric beasts or other disasters, I’m happy to announce I’ll be starting an art class tomorrow. Short notice, I know, but don’t worry if you can’t clear your schedule; latecomers will be more than welcome. This isn’t going to be too formal, anyway. Days ending in fours and eights, starting at nine in the morning sharp... but I’ll keep the studio open through the afternoon, unless someone kicks us out. Classroom five. All skill levels and media are welcome-- I’ll set up a still life or something, unless any adventurous souls want to talk about modeling.

Questions, comments? I’m not going to do sign-ups-- just show up if you’re interested, and bring along some appropriate supplies. Paints, clay, anything you like. At the very least a pencil and pad will get you a long way.

|[ooc; official course info here. Will post a mingle-type thing for it next week <3]|

Rudy Cooper. Apparently I teach art.

Apparently you do. I knew a painter pretty well once. [And by "know" she means she married one.] Can't say it's ever been my thing though.

Have you ever actually given it a shot?

Does finger painting as a little kid count?

Did you enjoy it?

Not as much as disassembling things and trying to put them back together.

Maybe you need to look into found art. Sculpture with blowtorches. It takes all kinds.

[She smirks a bit.] I think there might be a few people who'd want me to stay away from the blowtorches. But sure, I guess if I was going to do some art I'd want it to be more physical like that.

I actually danced as a kid. That was more my thing. [She's not entirely sure why she's telling him this, but here they are.]

What kind? Ballet?

There was a little bit of everything, but jazz and modern mostly.

People underestimate dancers. That kind of exercise builds incredible muscles.

You're not wrong. Turned out to be good training. Increased flexibility too.

Not interested in modeling, though?

I don't know. Does the whole class buy me dinner first?

Depends. How do you feel about slightly-ogled fruit?

That's kind of a personal question, but since we're such good friends...

I'd rather have shamelessly-ogled pizza, but I think I'll have to pass on the modeling. [She doesn't have much body shame. It'd be hard to wear the uniform she wore if she did. But there's still a big difference between something revealing and something completely revealed. Not to mention a couple people who might not be comfortable with it—her boyfriend and her other self.]

[Hey, you can't fault a guy for trying. And not trying all that hard, really.]

Fair enough. Pizza's a pretty dull still life subject.

I'm just saying, different things have different strengths. Besides, it'd get cold.

It is a shame to let a pizza get cold. Deep dish doesn't do the whole cold leftovers thing well.

I'm usually more of a thin crust guy, but I'm flexible. So maybe there's hope yet.

Let's hope. I mean the bots can't do deep dish exactly like Chicago intended, but it's not bad. You should give it a shot sometime. I should probably let you chat it up with actual potential students though. [Then again, she might just stop in.]

You too. We'll have to do this again sometime. We didn't even get to vegetables. Fruit's had it to good.
