So did we know there were things like that in here, or was it a lovely surprise for everyone else, too? Because frankly I'm not entirely reassured by the promise that they've been contained.

[Private to Jack Harkness]

Are you alright?

[You can practically hear the eye roll.]

Just got back, actually. I miss having you lurk outside the house like a particularly bleached garden gnome.

You sure about that? Who knows, I could be closer than you think...

[ Still not aware that they live in the same building. Good. ]

[Yet another thing Jack has failed to mention to him.]

Lucky me. And here I was hoping you'd been eaten by a dinosaur.

[ Oh Jack. So full of secrets. He better keep it that way. ]

Please, like those overgrown geckos could do much to me. I'm surprised to see you in one piece though... what did you do, cower under the bed or kick them in the cobblers like a girl?

Threw chocolate at them, actually. Preferably dark. [No, really. Standard Torchwood dinosaur response. It works well on pterodactyls.]

Generally works pretty well on most dinosaurs. [He's clearly so entertained by this.] Also good for their serotonian levels, if they've got serotonian levels, which I've never actually worked out.

And here I thought I'd been liberated from librarians... [ Welsh git. Close enough to be a Giles substitute. ] So that's how you nancy-boys fight? Chocolate and close contact with the genitals?

Should've known.

That's about the sum of it. Occasionally I get to shoot things and make them blow up, too. [Hear the entertainment in his voice.]

Well then... color me surprised. Here I thought you wouldn't even know what fun was if it bit you in the arse.

Well Jack and I occasionally do that for fun as well. [BOOM. Yes he just did.]

[ Are you seriously trying to gross him out. What has Jack been telling you. He quirks a brow, not that it shows through the voice transmission. ]

That explains a lot. [ Let's antagonize, shall we? ] You need some pointers, boy?

[Not gross so much as sassy.] Not particularly, no. although that does remind me to ask about your dental hygiene. Do I need to get vaccinated or something after being bitten by you? Do you floss regularly?

[Well that's not encouraging.] So that's a no on the flossing, then? Ugh. [Gross.]

Fine, fine... run along then. Go do some uphill gardening or whatever it is you people do.
