'Bout a week ago, some guy asked me how many people I'd seen come an' go since I got here. In three months it's somethin' like... 70 out of 110. Probably more now, I ain't bothered countin'... but that kinda stuff can really get you down, even when you don't know th' numbers. We lose people all th' time here. People we got to know here, friends from back home... [ He falls silent for a beat. Draws a steadying breath. ] An' it's sad. It's damn sad an' there ain't nothin' we can do 'bout it but keep goin'.

...I guess I just wanted t' remind y'all about th' Memorial Garden down in Sector 4. Anyone who wants t' plant somethin' there in memory of someone they lost, whether they were here or back home... you're welcome to. It's for all of us, th' ones that are still here an' the ones that aren't.

[ Voice, locked to Sougo ]

Hey, Sougo... I need your help with somethin'.

[ Aidan will be dividing his day between lugging boxes between Sector 2 and 4, and later spending a few long hours in the Memorial Garden. Feel free to approach the pensive country boy! ]

[ Aidan is pacing ever so slightly, anxious and nervous and excited all at once. He was always a proactive kind of guy and even though it hasn't even been a week, it feels good to get this done. It's just packing and saving, not moving on — he's not ready to move on and perhaps he never will be — and if Helix comes back, all they need to do is pick a new apartment. He'd understand... right? He'd get it?

It's hard to tell, but Aidan hopes.

When he spots Sougo he lifts his hand in a little wave, bending down to pick up the bag with drinks and snacks. Some bear claws and chocolate chip cookies. It seemed appropriate for moving day. ]

Alright! Up we go! [ Elevator ride to the top floor and then the unlocking of doors and there they are, back in a place that hasn't changed a bit since he left it and why would it? No one lives there anymore.

He usually keeps a clean house but left so quickly that day that it's not quite up to snuff. A few dirty dishes in the sink, a nasty congealing mess in the pan, moldy towel on the bathroom floor. The plants out in the greenhouse balcony have wilted, but should be alright with some tlc. ]

Boy... I need to open a window or somethin'. [ Quietly and slightly strained. Can't get too emotional here. ]

How 'bout you start in th' living room an' I'll go out in th' greenhouse... gotta see what can be saved. You can just grab whatever movies or games you wanna keep, I don't think there's much in here that's... y'know. Important.

[ Maybe the odd t-shirt behind the couch but nothing more than that. Also the potential of finding a porn flick or two but eh, that's fine... right? ]

[Though he doesn't necessarily go through Aidan and Helix's things as quickly as he said, he does go through them quietly. He may be going through various entertainment things, but that didn't mean there wasn't any sentimental value attached to it.

He makes a pile of things he wants to take with him, and a pile of things he'll run by Aidan before knowing whether or not they should be tossed out.]

[ Meanwhile, Aidan spends a decent time out there in the greenhouse. It was his pride and joy once, a quiet little oasis he could retreat to and packing it up almost feels sadder than leaving the apartment itself. It has to be done though. He can't cling to the past forever, the sooner he moves on the better he'll be.

Or so he thinks.

Eventually he does leave the now clean greenhouse, gingerly carrying the sad looking plants to the door so they can be transferred to the garden plot. Poor things. ]
