[ those who know caroline and know her well, will be able to notice the tremor in it as she comes on the comms. she's quiet and subdued. and for good reason. her best friend, her rock, the person whose friendship they just got back on track is gone. she still has bonnie and stefan, she loves them just as much, but elena is elena.]

Cheerleading practice is cancelled today. [ she's barely holding it together now.] For those who knew her.... Elena Gilbert is gone. Trust me, I've checked and doubled check. I'm sorry. [ and with that, she turns off her device before she can start to cry. chances are, if she doesn't know you, her response will be delayed by a few hours. ]

[ It's close to midnight by the time Damon decides to respond to Caroline's voice post. He'd spent hours looking for Elena despite Barbie saying that she'd checked and double checked and despite there being no way to contact her anymore via the network. Denial seemed to be a thing, but not anymore.

Elena's been thrown into the stabilizer. So she's gone.

Well then. Anger -- that can be checked off too. His apartment is one big mess with the broken furniture and everything ever. He's going through the five stages of grief alright. He has plans to contact Veridical in the morning. There has to be a way to make a deal with the Wardens. Maybe even make an exchange. Elena shouldn't spend any time at all in the stabilizer. She shouldn't have even been thrown into the underwater prison in the first place. ]

Did she make it back from the party last night? [ Oh, look at that. He's back to being in denial again. ]

[ They've had people come and go, but somehow he's never really thought of Elena disappearing like that. Somewhere down the line, he'd started to take it for granted that she'd just stick around -- somehow, someway; that she wouldn't end up in the stabilizer ever again. ]

I'll get in touch with Veridical in the morning. Maybe she's in solitary. It's probably a mistake. It happens. [ What is he even saying? ] Or Sector 6... [ That's one place he hasn't yet checked. ] She could have gone there. [ Why in the world would Elena do that? The place is full of gigantic bugs, but it would explain his inability to get a hold of her via the communicator. And there's probably a glitch in the system which is why her name's no longer listed. She's definitely somewhere in the dome. They just need to keep looking. ]

[ Damon in denial makes Caroline uncomfortable. She'd rather face the truth now than not, although she's been known to go into denial herself, except she usually throws herself into something to try and forget.

But there's a little glimmer of hope, maybe she is in solitary, maybe she's not actually gone or maybe she's in that sector even if Caroline knows she wouldn't have gone there.]

Maybe she is but why would she go there?

[ Damon's waiting by the front entrance for Caroline, looking rather impatient -- like he's ready to zip off any second now in search of Elena. He's got two stakes hidden in his jacket pocket. Useful for stabbing any pesky giant bugs or whatever else that gets in their way.

The likelihood of Elena having wandered off into Sector 6 on her own is... well -- it's hard to say. She'd just turned vampire and she could have decided to feed on someone by dragging them to the remote area.

If that's the case, he would be super relieved. Because at least, she's not gone. ]

[ Caroline shows up as fast as she can, eyes still puffy from crying but she makes it. She can sense his impatience but all she feels is worry, her thoughts don't go along the same lines as him but they're close. She worries someone might have taken her out there if she's not actually gone.

But she also worries what Damon will do once he realizes that Elena is gone. Actually gone.]

	Have you been into the Sector before? [ He would suggest splitting up because they would be able to cover more ground in less time that way, but if anything were to happen to Caroline, he'd have Liz, Stefan, Bonnie and etc to answer to later. Not a good idea. ] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[ He'd ask her where her sense of adventure's gone to, except now is not the time for that. ] Here. [ He hands her one of the stakes he'd successfully whittled. ]

You might need it. [ The last time he'd gone into Sector 6, he'd seen some weird things: giant bugs, raptors, a strange looking kangaroo and some other--who knows what even. ~~Luckily for Caroline, they won't be killing anything since that requires mod permission...~~ ]

Now I'd suggest sticking close. [ And with that little advice, he'll zip off in the direction of Aurora Lake; hoping to find Elena there chomping on someone's neck because that would be a real relief. ]
