[Day 237] Relationship Issues Group Therapy mingle
[The relationships group therapy attendees will all get a message telling them to report to The Winery in Sector 2. Sadly for them the alcohol is locked away, but there is an assortment of food and non-alcoholic beverages along the bar for consumption. Many of the tables have been cleared out and the chairs rearranged into a circle with booths along the edges for more intimate therapeutic discussions.

And don't forget the party favors! The wardens have left some helpful games and activity ideas to get them started. There's a bowl full of folded slips of papers with various questions.]

How many people have you slept with? Do you regret any of them? Why?

How many relationships have you been in? Why do you think that is?

What was your longest relationship? Most serious? Shortest? Most casual?

Why did your last relationship end?

What do you look for in another person?

Are you happy?

Who is your ideal mate?

What was the biggest problem/complication in your previous or current relationship?

What do you need out of a relationship? Sexual experience?

How long have you been single between relationships? Why do you think it was so long/short?

What is the best way to break up with someone?

Do you believe in soul mates? Do you think you have or will meet yours?

Would you rather spend your life with one important person or several acquaintances? Why?

Are there any similarities between the people you've been with? If so, what are they?

Do you have trouble making choices? Give examples.

Do you think with your heart, your head, or your genitalia? Are you satisfied with this behavior?

Do you have trouble relating to people? If so, in what way?

[In addition to the questions there are cards with various prompts. One explains the game, I Never. Another suggests people pair off and roleplay they are in a relationship and then deal with various scenarios like what do to if one partner flirts with someone else or comes home late without calling.]

Who should do the dishes?

When is it appropriate to discuss getting blue bands/having sex?

When should you move in together if ever?

What do you do if you suspect the other is keeping secrets?

What do you say if your partner comes home with a haircut you don't like?

How do you respond if you find your partner crying?

How do you decide how to spend your time together?

Your partner's family doesn't like you. What do you do?

One of you is critically hurt. How does the other respond?

Your friends don't like the person you're with. What do you say to them? What do you say to your partner?

One of you wants sexual relations and the other does not. How do you balance your needs?

How do you communicate your desire for a particular sexual desire to your partner?

It is your partner's birthday. How do you prepare?

At a party your partner leaves you to socialize with others. How does this make you feel and how do you respond?

How do you show your affection?

(OOC: Mingle style. You are not limited to the questions, scenarios, or games listed above. Assume there are more! I recycled a lot of this from last time so if someone was in this group twice they can feel free to notice, but assume there are lots of questions and prompts, so they probably didn't see them all.)

Relationships are a motivation in and of itself. Think about the reasoning for each crime and often times there is something or someone motivating your actions.

[He adjusts his own communicator to find his crimes again too. He finds the crime he's looking for and holds it up for her to see. Nestled right between cannibalism and assualt with a deadly weapon is a phrase he was looking for.]

Sexual assault. Not all of them are as obvious as that.

[She still hasn't gotten to hers yet, but his own crime is enough to give her pause and choke her up.]

Wha--!? Z-Zero...! When did you become a sexual deviant!?

[ OH GAWD he really did become a bad delinquent. DX ]

[With all their sex talk lately, this comes as a shock?]

Oh. You know me. Always searching for my next victim.

[He deadpans his response before adding what he believes to be the explanation for it.]

I kissed a girl without her permission. It was not reciprocated--therefore "Sexual Assault".

I had this one when I arrived in the facility on day 11.

[Try again.]

[Yeah she didn't respond on that one occasion but she never considered it a sexual assault so it doesn't even cross her mind.]

Eh!? But Zero never had a thing for any of the day class girls. If anything, Zero was completely asexual in school. [And she wont even consider vampires as an option.]

. . . And kissing your mother or something goodnight can't count either.

[You are so dense. Why is he with you again?]

I wasn't ever asexual. [How do you even know that word?] I just knew acting on my feelings would be pointless and a waste of time for several reasons.

I've only kissed one person back home. Twice now. Same girl.

[Countless times here as well.]

Oh. O-Oh...

[ She gets it now. ]

But I-- that time. I hadn't... considered it anything as assault. [ In contrast to having been threatened with his weapon especially. ]

Apparently your opinions on it don't matter. Even if the crime was committed to you.

{ A lot of his crimes are like that. He did what his brother wanted, yet still got punished for killing him in the manner he did.]

Aha... [Forced laugh.]

Maybe not. [She quickly exits the screen. And while she tries to play it off, she's not so good at that today (well even most days, but still).]

To think I got 'sex' added to the list, despite not really having done so. I hold Zero responsible for that one.

[Clearly not the reason she seems a bit shaken, but it's true that was added to the list as well.]

[It's the wording that gives him pause. It will make him sad. Not 'It's sad' or something to the like. Meaning, it isn't something that really upsets her. Just him.]

Name one thing 'good' about home right now.

[He can't. At all. There is nothing to be happy about or look forward to.]

There isn't anything that might seem like potential good news to me. So really, I wonder what it might take to upset me at this point.

[ More than true. Even still, she hesitates.]

Attempted suicide.

[ A quiet whisper. Although maybe that gives him a little hope. She wont mention the crime she saw beneath it. Even she can barely believe it. Suicide. It hollows her stomach out. Fingers shaking upon her skirt, she doesn't know when she'd begun to clutch it. At the very least, this is one thing he wont suspect. The fact that she's upset...the fact that she can't hide her shaking right now.

He'd take it to believe she's upset that she failed. Not that she succeeded. Closing her eyes, warm tears roll silent down her cheeks.]

[His heart skips a beat from panic, a natural reaction to that phrase before his head can catch up. Attempted. That's a good thing, right? She doesn't succeed.

Is that what she's upset about? Her failure?

His stomach turns, nausea bringing bile into his throat. Even after everything here--she's still upset she didn't succeed? Why would she think that would make him upset. He expected this sort of thing--that's why they agreed to the terms of their relationship here. The chances of them being together again are slim in their own world. This at least gave them an opportunity. A chance. He couldn't be upset by that...]

You're leaving something out. We knew this might happen. It's what is expected. "Attempt" is a good thing--at least for me.

[She might still feel differently.]

[She is, but how can she even share with him when reeling from the very concept herself. She's a little numb, her own mind not yet quite sure how to process it all.]

If- [A pause, swallowing thickly.] If I failed, doesn't that mean that Kaname succeeded?

[He's the one who told her of his plan. That would mean instead, that she was no longer a vampire. Instead...]

That would mean that I'll be turned human.

Is that such a terrible fate? I'd much rather have you alive--I don't care if as a human or a vampire.

That's easy for you to say, Zero!

[And whether that happens to her or not, she doesn't know, but she does know this.]

I wont have anything! Not Kaname, not Zero, they probably wouldn't even keep me with Headmaster! [Tense, and clearly upset]

Do you know what that's like at all!? I know what I did was wrong. But even still, to not have a single thing! It's the most frightening thing imaginable!

[He knows she's upset, so he tries not to take her words to heart because it's obvious she's wrapped up in her own pain right now.]

So you'd rather just give up and die? I didn't realize the life you rebuilt after losing your family and being turned human the first time was so miserable an experience for you for those ten years.

[His hand grasps her chin gently, forcing her to look at him without distractions.]

We have both had to restart our lives and change our courses several times. I've lost everything important to me more than once. So, yes, I know what it's like.

In the world we seem to be facing back home--your death destroys all hope. There are thousands of ways our stories can end just as long as you continue to struggle. Your way slams a door on all of them.

Yes, what you did is wrong but the fear of the unknown means anything can happen. Find a single bit of hope in that darkness to keep you going.

I don't want to die, Zero.

[Honest, watery gaze on his while he forces her to face him. She's never once wanted such a thing. In the end it had been the only solution she had seen as possible.]

But there wont be another Kuran to wake me. It wont be like with Zero, who was able to remember. It will all be gone forever. Every single memory. Mother and father all over again. Zero and Headmaster, Yori-chan and all the rest.

[Tears streak down her face, eyes glistening as she begs him to understand. Can't he see?]

It's no less painful than death. It's those memories that have made me the happiest. Without them I'm just a little lost girl all over again. With no one to turn to.

That isn't a future I can accept. Death isn't painful for the life ending, you know. It's everyone that is left behind that finds it hard.

[A thumb brushes across her cheek, wiping away the trail of tears only to find it replaced immediately.]

To never see you again--none of those you care about would wish for that. It would devastate them. If you honestly think that Sayori Wakaba would not move the very earth in the other direction to find you--you don't know her very well.

She'd probably think I had something to do with it and demand I come with her to find you even if I had no idea who you were.

Maybe he'd leave you with your old memories.
Maybe you would be able to build a life with just as much happiness.
Maybe you could find another way to stop him and none of this would even be necessary.

A world without Yuuki is a world I don't want to experience.

[A small disbelieving sound.]

Leave someone with their memories? Impossible... [There's a sacrifice needed. And not just by the person creating the spell. She can't think of any other way.

She's silent for a moment. The one thing that carries a small bit of truth is that, as long as Yori's memories remain untouched, her friend would go to ridiculous lengths to see her. Even dangerous ones.

Leaning forward, she buries her face against his chest. Warm tears strain the fabric below.]

I'm just so scared. [So reminiscent of a time before. Has she really made no progress at all?] I'm scared, Zero.
