[The voice cuts on to someone whose voice is fading in and out in volume, as if they are moving the microphone closer and further from them. The girl hasn’t seen something this advanced before, but it doesn’t take much to realize that it is transmitting her to somewhere.]

Oh how interesting. Is this like one of those radios I’ve heard speak of? I had never imagined they were this…small. Certainly something capable of wave communication would need to be much bigger to catch the right waves? How do you fit all of the wires into such a small package?

And what does “video” mean? [Obviously she is looking at the side of the communicator only to flick the button. Suddenly the screen is full of golden brown eyes and pale blonde hair. She pulls it back a bit more.] I’m not quite sure how I came to be here, but this place is full of curious things. It’s nothing like any prison I have heard of. Your country must be very wealthy to afford it. How does the shield around the prison stay intact? I haven’t seen a Mage since I woke—

--Oh, I’m sorry, that’s very rude of me! Good morning, my name is Toul. I hope I’m not bothering anyone, but I do have some questions that it would be very helpful to me if I could have them answered. Has anyone seen a pale girl with brown hair and eyes and a dark tattoo over her left eye?

[Toul has been wandering for hours, trying to figure out whether or not this is a truly creative dream, an illusion, or if she is truly stuck in a prison. It's nothing like one she's ever heard of herself. She manages to come by the clothings shops in Sector 4 and is searching for things close to what she's used to. The jumpsuit just isn't comfortable. Too restrictive. It would be easy enough to run into her as she walks and expect that she'll definitely greet and introduce herself to anyone she sees.]

Sector 2? I don't believe I've been there as of yet...although maybe I was and somehow managed to get here. [It's certainly possible with her terrible sense of direction. She starts to mutter quietly to herself, trying to think back to where she had been.] I went from Sector 5 to Sector 3 but that was really Sector 1, and then I went through the...so...no, no, Sector 2 I haven't visited.

Would you terribly mind just pointing me in the right direction?

[Toul has no idea what she said--since she doesn't have her communicator on to translate. Her head tilts to the side as she tries to understand what just happened. She takes the communicator back with a look of confusion.]

What? Your language is beautiful, but I'm only proficient in Common and Tusserian. Did you find the map? [She lifts the communicator up to look.]

[Thankfully she's got the communicator close enough that she can hear the translation coming through it right before she sets it back over her ear.]

Oh! Isn't that something? [She's rather intrigued by how the communicator fixed that for her.] It gives me a map and lets me understand languages! And I can use it to speak with people like a radio. How fascinating a little machine.

Thank you very much for showing me. I never would have realized it.

Oh... [Her ears droop for a moment, but not for long.] I almost thought it would be something I knew from home. We do have several tribal islands off the coast that I've heard of before. [Not that she's ever actually visited the coast. It's so far away.]

I was informed that there are multiple worlds people come from here, but I couldn't be the only person from my own world, could I?

	But...why? It seems very strange that they would bring only one person from a world to a prison meant to keep us from causing harm to it. [...Is she really the worst threat Gaia has?
