[ sookie's got the evening off from merlotte's and the blood shack doesn't need her help tonight. instead of taking her free time indoors where it could be spent reading or watching some knock off television movie that makes some of lifetime's worst look absolutely golden, she's spending it in sector two's två park. she's been spending time here and there working with her light, and her control has blossomed and become much more refined since that day she lost control and was punished for demolishing a statue.

anyone who happens to come upon her will find her situated in a corner of the hedge maze, a glowing ball of light dancing between her fingers. ]

[ at one point during her light fiddling, her headset falls out of her pocket, landing in just the right position to kick it into the on position. viewers are treated to the sight of sookie wielding her light for the time it takes her to reabsorb it and reach for the fallen device. ]

It's well into the evening by the time Eric makes his way out to the park where Sookie is practicing with her light. He saw the accidental video, but it's not the first time the network has been treated to such a sight and he trusts their bond to tell him if she needs him. Once the Blood Shack seems to be under control between Jessica and Spike, he goes in search of Sookie. It's both a desire to check on her and to spend a little bit more time than he usually gets with her.

He's careful to make some noise as he moves through the hedge maze. He doesn't want to be hit with that ball of light that Sookie is wielding.

"I suppose I should be accustomed to the idea that something beautiful can be so deadly."

	Even if he had managed to startle her, she wouldn't have attacked. Sookie isn't as impulsive or quick to leap to her own defense as she was back in Bon Temps. There's less of a need to here, and she really doesn't want to get saddled with one of the wardens' ridiculous punishments for burning holes through the maze. "Are you talking about me or my light?"
