[ sookie's got the evening off from merlotte's and the blood shack doesn't need her help tonight. instead of taking her free time indoors where it could be spent reading or watching some knock off television movie that makes some of lifetime's worst look absolutely golden, she's spending it in sector two's två park. she's been spending time here and there working with her light, and her control has blossomed and become much more refined since that day she lost control and was punished for demolishing a statue.

anyone who happens to come upon her will find her situated in a corner of the hedge maze, a glowing ball of light dancing between her fingers. ]

[ at one point during her light fiddling, her headset falls out of her pocket, landing in just the right position to kick it into the on position. viewers are treated to the sight of sookie wielding her light for the time it takes her to reabsorb it and reach for the fallen device. ]

I'd be surprised if you had. We're -- my kind, that is -- we're not exactly common, and when we are, we don't really make a habit of showcasing what we can do.

[ shrug. call her a rebel, she does what she wants. (and in an environment where she's not afraid or ashamed of what she is. sookie is less of a freak in marinanova than she ever was back in bon temps.) ]

[ sookie's brows shoot up in feigned surprise. she's gotten rather good at pretending to be surprised by things she already knew over the years, having listened in on people's deepest, darkest secrets since she was a little girl. of course, she didn't learn bonnie was a witch from the girl herself, but elena. back when she could actually peer into elena's head without being blocked by the vampire-fae mental incompatibilities. ]

Not a witch, though there's plenty back home who've accused me of being as much. Of course, it's easier to just let them believe what they want than to tell them you're actually a faerie.

You sure? Because we're not exactly in the habit of revealing ourselves to people to the point that I didn't even know what the hell I was until recently. Up until then, I just thought I was weird.

[ and the fae have the ability to move as they please between worlds. she honestly wouldn't be surprised if there were a way to shift oneself between times and versions of the world in addition to faerie planes. ]

	Positive. If there are any around back home they haven't made themselves known yet. So I guess I'm not one hundred percent sure. 	Now I am. I wasn't so much at first. I mean, the picture everyone's got in their heads of faeries are those that are Tinkerbell-sized, Shakespearean, or big on making shoes.
