[Puck's voice sounds cheerful, which isn't an unusual thing for Puck's voice to do, but to those who know him very well - not that there are many in the dome - it might actually sound a little more upbeat than usual.]

So it's been how many technical difficulties in how many days now? Not that I'm complaining [quite the opposite] or trying to imply someone else could do a better job, oh no... but I think it's about time we started taking bets on what it's going to be next.

Can we have a flood? How many other prisons can boast having had an underwater flood? [He playfully clear his throat.] --Probably one or two, considering how the prisons around here seem to multiply like cockroaches. But nevermind that. Underwater flood. Come on, esteemed overlords, you know you want it.

And from one topic to another... isn't there a little lamb out there who thinks something is a bit overdue?

Better without floods. And smart-ass Demons. [Your little joke did not go unnoticed, just unappreciated.]

[You are the toughest crowd, Zel.]

Aren't you in the wrong network post, then. Aside from the evident lack of floods, as I'm regrettably not as much in kahoots with the Wardens to make that happen. And I'd say we've had the demon talk already, but I know how that'd go over. [Which is why he's not bringing it up in the first place...]

[He works hard at being a stoic jackass, yes.]

Regrettably? You really are asking for it. Even the slimiest evil thing I know wouldn't work with those two.

Oh, of course they wouldn't. I'm sure everyone in the Defense Force agrees that these new wardens have nothing on the old ones.

[Mrr. He might be a smidge defensive of that team, considering his friend runs it and forced him to join. (And he might believe in their mission a tiny bit shhh)] What's your point? Do you just constantly say stuff that you know annoys people in the hopes of amusing yourself?

Is it a sensitive subject? [Oh no. Maybe he should apologise.] And well, the point I was trying to make was that some people were just fine working with the Wardens before the dome-jumping put an end to that. Different wardens, I know-- maybe that makes all the difference?

(ooc: Sorry; wrong word.)

No it is not. We can take care of ourselves without their intervention. [HUMPH.]

You're antagonizing the Wardens, if anything. Probably because you love seeing us miserable. Your kind always do.

You'd be surprised, actually. [Most of "his kind" just want to have fun... granted in their own special ways, but still.] And you know, I'm my own person. I much prefer good action to misery.

Please. You're not any different than any of the other Demons I've met. You all think you're this awe-inspiring thing, but under the cheeky grin and casual messing with people, you're all the same. Pathetic things who feed on misery.

[Oy. No one gets to tell him he's interchangeable with anyone else. Yes, that's more offensive than being called a "pathetic thing".]

See, confusing generalisations for actual knowledge isn't the best idea, boy - friendly advice. Especially when you're essentially stuck in a melting pot of worlds.

You haven't denied it. [Not that he'd buy such an obvious lie, but the point is that the guy's not even trying to say the assumption is wrong, which says a lot.] And everything you say and do says that I'm completely right. Terribly sorry if you thought you were some uniquely impressive thing.

I admit I was going for implying more than outright stating, [with the bit about generalisations not being the same thing as knowledge] but I'll make a note to be clearer in the future. But oh, you've gone and burst my bubble - look at my poor self-esteem, all in ruins. Why, it's just like it's dependent on your opinion alone.

[But judging by his tone earlier that still struck a nerve. Go figure.]
