[Yesterday, Number One had been lucky enough to keep her uniform; today, much to her dismay, she's in standard-issue first-day orange. She's also still here, which apparently isn't a universal thing for those who'd ended up in the prison. As such, this is not shaping up to be her best day. Still, her expression is schooled into careful neutrality.]

I am given to understand that every individual in this facility was brought here under circumstances similar to my own: unexpectedly, and without any chance to defend him- or herself against the charges for which we are allegedly being held captive. As such, logic dictates that I am not the only one dissatisfied with the situation.

[She shifts, slightly, the only visible manifestation of her irritation.]

If possible, I would like access to any information regarding appeals to the authorities responsible for our incarceration, or other attempts-- successful or not-- to leave this 'Asylum.'

[A beat, and she adds:]

I am First Lieutenant Robbins, executive officer, U.S.S. Enterprise, registry NCC-1701. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with any Starfleet personnel remaining in this facility.

Thank you.

Yes, I can imagine so. I've captained her through three generations; C, D and E. And even the advancements made through each of those incarnations were most impressive.

Sir, do you believe the claims that we will remain in captivity here for the rest of our lives?

I believe that some go to their homes and some remain here in a stasis of sorts if they are not active within the dome. It's difficult to tell who is chosen to do what. My theory is that once the Wardens deem a sentence served, an inmate is homebound. Otherwise, when they are removed from the dome, they are set in stasis.

And I might add, as you may have noticed, they've no mind for circumstance. There is right and there is wrong.

I am concerned about the effects my presence here-- specifically, my presence in the company of those from later years-- might have upon our timeline, should I be able to return to my proper place.

Understandably so. While I've no first hand knowledge of such things, it is my understanding that those who return home carry no memories from this place. They describe it as... as if no time has passed and they continued to live their lives as if the prison had never happened. Perhaps that knowledge by put some of your concerns at ease.

I cannot call that comforting, Sir, but it does allow for more practical freedom.
