Day 231 : 4th Wall : Open Video/Open Action MINGLE
[Video : Open]

Hello, everyone! I wasn't expecting so many new people so soon! I'm not sure we'll have welcome baskets ready for everyone. [Partially because Euphie has been here long enough to suspect that if this is like any of the other times the wardens will "fix the glitch."] But I do hope you all have a safe and happy time today.

Everything here is free, so if you need clothes or food just go to any store or restaurant and you should be able to find what you need. Tonight when you want to sleep there are three different apartments with plenty of open rooms. You're welcome to take any open one for yourselves. Oh! And be very careful to stay out of Sector 6. It's dangerous. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Ah, and Cornelia, if you're out there it would be very nice to see you.

[Mingle : Open]
[Are you in MarinaNova? Of course you are! So this mingle is for you. It's currently happening anywhere and everywhere. So, step up, plop your character down and be sure to mention where they might be found on this day of broken walls.]

(OOC: Tag Euphie: Video or Mingle. My notifs are turned off so tagging anywhere else just puts you on the mingle to play with anyone looking at this post!)

[She might have assumed as much, but the confirmation is... oddly comforting. Oddly distressing, too, but very little about this situation isn't.]

Robbins, [she answers, since her rank is already established.] Executive Officer of the Enterprise.

[ Just a half a moment's pause as he accesses that information... ]

Under the command of Captain Christopher Pike?

[She lifts her chin very slightly; she's faintly surprised, given the reception she's had from every other officer she's encountered.]

Correct, [she says, evenly-toned as ever.]

I am familiar with a number of the reports from the period during which he was in command of the Enterprise. That would place your chronological point as being somewhere between 111 to 122 years prior to my own. May I inquire as to your current date?

Mid-2254.

[She's not sure whether she ought to be impressed or concerned that he's familiar with her tenure; a hundred years down the road, that suggests either something very good or very bad.]

As far as I've been able to discern, no other members of my crew are present.

Nor have I encountered any other Starfleet personnel from either your ship or your chronological point.

[ A beat, and a slight tilt of his head - ]

My latest chronological point was 2373 - temporal discrepancies are common among the Starfleet personnel present; however, yours appears to be the most significant that we have yet observed. There are two other officers present from my ship's crew who were both here prior to today's arrivals - our captain and our chief engineer. Our first officer has arrived today and, if implications are accurate, may not remain. In addition, there is one individual from another Federation vessel from the same approximate time period who was present prior to today's arrivals, and two members of her crew have been reported present today.

[See, Data, you are her sort of officer. Efficient, informative, rational. This is useful. Robbins is well pleased, which she will... Not show at all, really, except for a nod of acknowledgment and thanks. ]

What evidence is there to suggest that today's arrivals may not stay?

Individuals who have been present in this facility for longer than I have report that this is not the first occurrence of its kind. Additionally, the "wardens" - who traditionally make a morning announcement and remain available for inquiry over the duration of the day - referred to today's arrivals as us having our [ careful enunciation on the colloquialism ] "friends over to play."

This would seem to suggest that at least a majority of those who are present today will not remain as long-term prisoners.

[She considers that a moment. It's promising; the possibility that she won't be here long is obviously an attractive one, disturbing as it is to know that anyone is in captivity here.]

Perhaps that is why these wardens appear to be non-communicative, currently. If those of us who have arrived are not intended to remain, they may be unwilling to provide more information which may be taken back to our respective timelines.

That is possible. It is also likely that, given the increased volume of arrivals - today's influx is far greater than a typical group of new arrivals - paired with the confusion which a considerable percentage of the preexisting population is experiencing, they simply do not wish to make themselves available for what would undoubtedly be a far greater volume of questioning.

You may be right... And if so, it might be a prudent choice on their parts.

[This is as close to visibly annoyed by the situation as she's inclined to get.]
