231 | 4th wall | action | open
[ When Sasha woke up once again into an empty room, to find an empty apartment, she knew. It didn't take long for her to figure out what was happening: one, the Dimensional Stabilizer had malfunctioned again, it had taken her away; and two, she was, once again, a "guest" in the prison.

At first, she thought to seek out her friends, to let them know that she was alright and that perhaps, she could properly say goodbye -- she will be gone by the end of the day after all. But it was that same thought that brought her to an uncharacteristic decision: just to wait the day away, and not let anyone else know of her temporary return. It would be better that way.

She tried navigating the network, trying to see if she can contact her friends. Perhaps she could say "hello"... or she could just stay in the shadows and be content to have seen them. But that was not her. After checking how much of the day she has left, Sasha headed out to kill some time. If she came across familiar faces, that would all well and good. If there were new ones, then she'll go out to help them as much as she could... ]

----- Sector 2 -----

[ The Sector is -- was -- her chosen place of residence after all. Sasha visited the Library, seeing if there were new books that had arrived.

Should she spot anyone -- whether it's a familiar or a new face -- she'll approach them from the side. ]

Excuse me -- do you have anything to recommend among the new fiction books?

----- Sector 4 -----

[ Toting a book or two, she heads to Bean Crushers for some tea and snacks. Her attention would mostly be on the book, but she looks up from time to time, watching people go by through the window, or just briefly look at whoever passes by her table. Anyone meeting her eye will be greeted with a small nod and a friendly smile. ]

----- Sector 5 -----

[ The day is almost at an end. While perhaps it would be more fitting for her to return to her "home" in Sector 2, she feels that she has to bid the place farewell. There won't be anyone looking for dinner when she returns there after all. Sasha therefore finds it fitting to spend time at the Prayer Facility and find peace in her sadness.

She doesn't leave right away, and like when she spent time at the café, she sat at the back- and corner-most bench in the facility, so as she can watch people come and go. She might not have the appearance of a holy person, but she does have that warm aura that might tell you that, hey, maybe she can listen if there's anything troubling you. ]

(( OOC: Pardons for the tl;dr, but here be Sasha of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas with her Marina memories from Day 191! /o/ ))

[ Through a series of unfortunate events, Touma's headset doesn't work. Terrific. It can translate things — which is a blessing because he cannot read anything but Japanese well without it — but he can't actually depress the buttons enough to make any calls.

So he's been wandering around trying to find some familiar faces to see WHAT THE HELL was going on and what Day it was and why was their apartment empty?!

When he stopped outside the coffee shop to catch his breath. ]
Damn I don't remember this place being so big...

[ And that's when he looked into the window and caught sight of her. ] ...eh?

[ Sasha had been looking in one direction, before turning to see and spot one of those she had been thinking about.

After a bit of surprise passes her features, she gives in to a relieved smile. She gets up from her seat to head out and meet him. ]

Touma! [ A breath and it almost seems as if she will reach for his hands, but she clasps them over her chest instead. ] Touma-- I am glad to see you.

Sasha? [ Who else would it be? His mind had momentarily whirled when it considered that she would either not recognize him, or he not recognize her, but two seconds later and the truth was already there. ]

Sasha! [ He's moving swiftly, too, but steps back before he does something dumb like get himself hit with a swinging door. That wasn't a matter of luck, that was just observation. ] Whoa, I—

...glad to see me? Uh, well, of course I'm glad to see you, but what's going on? Why's our place empty? What's going on? [ He's talking way too fast, please feel free to cut him off. ]

[ Well. At the least he remembers her and that he isn't a "version" of the Touma she knows. Seeing his fretting though -- ]

Touma. [ Oh wait he speaks over that. Sasha clears her throat and speaks more audibly to get his attention. ] Touma.

[ Hopefully he's listening now. ] We left. Or we-- [ slept in the Black Building -- which may or may not exist in this prison; better leave that bit aside for now. ] disappeared from this place. It's an error in the Wardens' programming.

[ She doesn't know how else to say this, given Touma's history of memory loss. At the least, he is not alone in this situation. ] We were gone for forty days. It is now Day 231.

[ Touma shut his trap and listened patiently, because if he could trust anyone to catch him up on this, it's Sasha.

But by the time she's done his eyes are wide and his mouth was already half open again. ]
Forty da—!? What the hell? [ He threaded a hand into his hair and looks around them. ] That's worse than last time. [ When she had disappeared between "visits" and he also vanished for nearly two weeks. ]

...least I don't have a headache this time, but seriously, what the hell?

I am not experiencing a headache either. I-- I do not have new memories of home, either. Pardon as I do not completely understand how it all works.

[ Sasha closes her eyes briefly, and briefly touches her communicator. ]

Do you remember the first time I arrived here? Today is a day like that, Touma. We are visitors here today.

I wouldn't forget. [ Asking if he remembered something... she knows better, but he isn't mad. Just reaffirming the solid truth that he remembers everything that he's experienced in his time here. ]

So we're back, but we've got no way of knowing if we're "back"-back, or just here for a day and then go poof again. [ Touma heaved a heavy sigh, his shoulders sagging. ] Of all the rotten....

Those who visit during these days, in my experience, are gone from the dome by day's end. There is a chance that they return after a day or so along with the next day of new arrivals. [ Sasha raised her gaze to the dome's "sky". ]

If that pattern is to be followed then we will be gone by nightfall -- and no knowing if we will return in a few days' time or not. [ She certainly trusts Touma to remember; but she feels sad seeing him shaking like that. She approaches so as she can place a comforting hand on his shoulder. ]

[ Sasha's a lot calmer than he is, by far, but that presence is starting to have an effect on him, too. He stopped himself from putting a hand on hers. ] That's great. Just another way this place jerks us around!

[ Okay so he could use a little more peace and serenity. Give him a minute. ] You said you don't have a headache either, but are you all right otherwise? [ Last he remembered she had made a good recovery from when that one guy went on a rampage. ]

[ A well enough recovery -- as if the injuries hadn't been there in the first place. She understands Touma's venting -- he probably gives voice to what she feels inside, and yet prefers to express it otherwise. Her hand does not leave his shoulder, giving him short, gentle strokes.

She nods, giving Touma a quick look-over. She feels that if he can get agitated enough like this, he should be fine. ]
I am fine, thank you.

Have you seen anyone else you know?

Good. I'm glad to hear it. [ Barring disorientation and anger, Touma has no other symptoms to speak of. She was doing well and was certainly the most grounded of the pair, so that helped, too. One less set of problems to worry about, amidst the dozens of layered anxieties and paranoia he typically dealt with all on his own. ]

[ The boy nodded. ] Just Kitty. I saw others but... I didn't want to push my already crappy luck. [ He isn't sure how he would deal if he met people that didn't remember him — from here or from home. It was a risk he could avoid taking, so he did just that. ] You?
