[ when liz turns on the feed, she is as calm as she can possibly be. with everything else that's been happening lately, she honestly didn't expect to be thrown into prison, especially when that prison was one she was unfamiliar with and buried deep under an ocean. she's not entirely sure how she feels about that.

either way, her expression is one of determination and she's ignoring the prison garb. that can come later. ]

My name is Sheriff Liz Forbes. [ because she definitely doesn't go by her full name and these people need to know that an actual law enforcement officer is present among them, not whatever these wardens claim to enforce. ] I've spent enough time listening and watching to know the basics. What I'd like now are more details. If anyone has information they'd like to offer... I would appreciate it. I can't offer much in return, but I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement.

[ with firmly pursed lips, she turns the feed off and waits to see if anyone will bite. ]

You can't leave the prison. Not through choice anyway and even when people do leave, they can come back. [onto some good news perhaps?] It isn't your typical prison either because there are stores here, a gym, a cafe. Bars. Too many things to list. You'll probably need a tour.

	It's less a prison and more a miniature town. [ she's not sure if that makes it better or worse, honestly, but at least... well, there's no being tortured on entrance. that's a positive. ] Is that an offer? Yeah, it is. Unless someone else volunteers. [like Caroline.] We can catch up at the same time. You'll probably end up staying with us but if you want a place of your own, that's fine too.

[she's hoping to find out what the Sheriff knows or doesn't know about what was going on back at home. So far, all of them had come from different points in time and it made things awkward in some ways.]

	There's a few places nearby that are free so all you would have to do is pick one and you're good to go. [ now that she thinks about it, they'd probably want to have a little bit of independence and keep the living arrangements the same. ] I remember feeling like that when I first arrived. I've gotten through everything else. Being in prison should be... just another normal day. [ bonnie should know what she means by "everything else." the vampire issue was hard enough to wrap her head around. being in prison with a bunch of people like this with wardens who are... definitely not human. at least one of them isn't. but honestly... considering what she's been through in the last year and a half, liz thinks she can manage this. eventually. ]

Well, you know what our normal days are like. [ it went without saying really and bonnie knew that they would deal with it somehow. neither of them were alone and they had friends here.

she smiles faintly, trying to offer some form of lightness to the situation. sometimes it helped to be positive and bonnie had known that from experience.]

We can all meet for dinner later or something. Catch up in person.
