[And for those who are paying attention to the network they are about to get a rare sight. An angry Michiru. So angry in fact that her powers are starting to show, her hair moving on its own as though pushed by water]

Puck! We need to have a discussion about your "gift"!

Would you really consider a sea cucumber [She visibly shudders at the thought] an appropriate gift for someone with a fear of them?

[Uh-oh. And he has the nerve to sound nothing but pleased with himself.]

But mine's cute. [Really! He made it as endearing as he possibly could. Almost got attached to it in the process, too.]

it's so mean!

[And that makes her really annoyed]

It was a sea cucumber... that followed me around...

And would have called you "mommy" in sea slug if it'd had the intelligence for it. [:D]

...That is really disturbing. I don't want a sea slug calling me that.

[The one creature she REALLY didn't like]

Well, fortunately we are speaking in hypotethicals. Come now, it wasn't even slimy.

Considering I was trying not to touch it, I wouldn't know.

"Schrödinger's slime", for when the original cat doesn't sound silly enough. Ah, but then I can only assume you also missed the ever so slightly rounded design - you know, invoking a youthful appearance - and the adorable kitten sounds?

[In other words all the super thoughtful ways in which he tried to make it non-frightening? Gosh Michiru, way to make him the bad guy.]

"Invoking a youthful appearance"? Is that what you call it? Also I did notice the kitten sounds.

[Really, did the idea of having a sea cucumber meow sound normal to him?]

[Not normal at all, but on the other hand he finds "normal" boring.]

Cute little babies generally have round features regardless of the species. [Said cheerfully, but with an air of "how is this not obvious".] That and kitten sounds are about the only things you can do to make a sea cucumber endearing. Personally I think I did an admirable job considering what I had to work with.

[BECAUSE IT IS NOT A CUTE LITTLE BABY!]

You didn't have to do anything. And hearing a sea cucumber meow is not pleasant in the least.

[DETAILS.]

Well, no, there is some measure of freedom of movement here and that's always nice. But how could I stand up the chance to take a joke further? [Trolls gotta troll.

He tilts his head mock-innocently. From one subject to another...]
How's the plotting coming along?

[He sees you down there with Aidan. And he's mostly just amused.]

Fairly easily in my opinion. By not making a meowing sea cucumber and sending it to me.

[She gives him a look] It's my business.

[She's just going to make that private now since you are snooping]

Aw, that's no fun. I could have given you hints.

Well, you will just have find out what we figure out.

If you say so. Luckily I'm fond of surprises. Just don't let the kid go at me with a bat - I hate to judge by appearances, but I doubt he'd be much fun. [And by "kid" he means Aidan. See, nice and helpful.]

[She gives that a look then says] Wooden or animal?

[Yes, she is talking about the bat]

Alas, I have no particular fear of furry little critters, wings or not. [Which is to say he meant the wooden kind.] But you'd get major points for creativity if you went with the animal.

It would probably be a lot harder to manage.

[She's not actually considering this, but she's at least joking with him again. That may be a good sign?]

[He's pleased that she is - more than relieved - and shows it by broadening his smile.]

For some, perhaps. [Less so when you can magic them up. Which he does, kind of: two stylistic bat shadows appear in the palm of his hand, flapping upwards into the sky before they fade out of existence a few seconds later. Just because he can.] But it's true the real living deal is a poor choice for training.

[Michiru watches as he magics up two bats, still a little weary of him conjuring things up but at least they didn't look real and they were gone quickly.]

They usually aren't considered the best option, no.

I suppose we can finish our conversation later.
