[ It had been a long, hard wait. Longer and harder than he cared to admit but now it was over and he'd made damn sure that the wardens couldn't take this newfound freedom away from them — or at least as sure as he could make. No loopholes. No risk of losing this "privilege" the blue band came with, unless one of them screwed around and that sure as hell wasn't going to happen.

With the demon thudding hard and fast in his dead veins, Spike went to find Rose. ]

[ If this had been any normal day he would've blown off work in order to shag himself into a coma, but this isn't just any day. This is the first day of freedom. The first day without that blasted chip zapping his skull soon as he looks at a hot, pounding vein. He can't stay cooped up inside when the demon screams in his chest like this and although he has every intention of laying low for the time being he needs to stretch his legs. Take the bloodlust for a walk. Maybe he'll even bump into Xander-bloody-Harris and give him a well-deserved punch to the face.

Find him in Sector 4, 0 or 5 on the way to work or later through the night at the Blood Shack. ]

[Seeing Spike relaxes her immediately, both for familiarity and because she's spared the task of asking around about him.] I think I'm more here for your skills in bartending and conversation rather than matchmaking. Not that I doubt you for a second, Casanova.

Then again, he kind of wishes he whined about the chip more while he still had it. That... is definitely a consideration. A little weird to hear, being one of the buffet and all, but I feel ya. [Weeks ago when she was uninitiated to this place that comment would be freaked her out substantially, but now it's just a momentary twinge.]

If nothing else, a place like this should dispel all prejudices. It's not at all like the dank places where goth-type humans throw their quasi-vampiric fiestas.

I feel so tragically undereducated in the world of underground clubs. I was something of a rebel back in the day, the puny human kind of rebel of course, but I arrogantly thought I'd seen most of what there was to see.

Or rather, most of what someone with my aversion to ickyness would want to see. I mean, there's having fun and then there's stuff that should get someone a lifetime supply of Haldol and a nice padded room.
