[ It had been a long, hard wait. Longer and harder than he cared to admit but now it was over and he'd made damn sure that the wardens couldn't take this newfound freedom away from them — or at least as sure as he could make. No loopholes. No risk of losing this "privilege" the blue band came with, unless one of them screwed around and that sure as hell wasn't going to happen.

With the demon thudding hard and fast in his dead veins, Spike went to find Rose. ]

[ If this had been any normal day he would've blown off work in order to shag himself into a coma, but this isn't just any day. This is the first day of freedom. The first day without that blasted chip zapping his skull soon as he looks at a hot, pounding vein. He can't stay cooped up inside when the demon screams in his chest like this and although he has every intention of laying low for the time being he needs to stretch his legs. Take the bloodlust for a walk. Maybe he'll even bump into Xander-bloody-Harris and give him a well-deserved punch to the face.

Find him in Sector 4, 0 or 5 on the way to work or later through the night at the Blood Shack. ]

[Garcia has her laptop under one arm and a large bag hanging on the other shoulder as she very tentatively pokes her head into the Blood Shack without trying to look like she's tentative. Or like she's dinner. This is so not her normal scene, but... well. She did get a little worried after not seeing Spike for a while, even though he was probably just ducking the whole lovefest of the pseudo-Christmas, and so here she is.]

[Plus, she has a feeling he'll dig her gift. Which she decided not to rap lest the whole holiday cutesy-ness put him off. And she got it before this Christmas thing was even announced, so!]

[Anyway, here she is. She might be a tad jumpy considering the environment, but she'll get her feet under her. Probably.]

[ For being something he did out of pure selfishness, working as a bartender at the Shack has proven to be more enjoyable than he expected. He can drink, for one. The customers aren't too bad and it's not like his boss cares about how he spends the time, as long as he shows up and pours some drinks.

Of course, with the general antsy giddiness he's got flowing in him today, those hours seem to drag on forever. Needless to say he's pretty pleased, seeing Penelope slink through the door. ]

Well well... so you found your way here all by yourself then? Didn't have time to wait for me to fix you up, hmn?

[Seeing Spike relaxes her immediately, both for familiarity and because she's spared the task of asking around about him.] I think I'm more here for your skills in bartending and conversation rather than matchmaking. Not that I doubt you for a second, Casanova.

[She flops her bag down on the floor next to a barstool and grabs a seat.] What's up? You've been a little scarce. Not so moved by the Christmas spirit?
