Day 226 l Christmas Party Mingle
[Ianto has, predictably, gone a bit overboard for the Christmas party he and Jack are throwing. The entire apartment has been decorated; there's a tree with gold and silver ornaments and twinkling lights, garlands draped over doorways, candles in every window and festive nicknacks scattered about. It looks like something out of a magazine, and may make visitors a little afraid to actually touch anything. There's also a lot of mistletoe around (one of the side effects of living with Captain Jack Harkness) so it's probably a good idea to keep one eye on the ceiling at all times.

Of course he's made plenty of coffee and some appetizers, so he hopes people really do respond to the invitation Jack sent out, otherwise there are going to be a hell of a lot of leftovers.]

	[He should hear this quick intake of breath over the water at least when she feels the first press of his mouth. 	[When she feels him moving she knows instinctively what he's going to do even if this is new territory with them. Good new territory though. [ He assumed that if she didn't want him to do any or all of this, she would've let him know (her fingers are in his hair after all, all it would take is a tug) but catching that nod fills him with a lot of reassurance and confidence. Movements falling into a steady pace he soon moves back in to press his mouth against her, anxious to see just what that combo might do. ]

[ Mind over matter. He really wants to be able to do this once in a while and ample practice seems to be the best way to get over the kinks. If he's learned how to sift through crime scenes, as gross as it can be, it'd be a damn shame if he couldn't turn that on something good.

He continues what he's doing, pace firm and solid and ears trained to hear what he can hear through the rush of water. ]

As good as this feels it's always a little awkward that there isn't much she can do for him in this position. Her hands in his hair, but she doesn't want him to feel like she's petting him or something. Still, the time for serious thought on the subject has passed. For now you could say he has her very, very distracted.]
