Day 226 l Christmas Party Mingle
[Ianto has, predictably, gone a bit overboard for the Christmas party he and Jack are throwing. The entire apartment has been decorated; there's a tree with gold and silver ornaments and twinkling lights, garlands draped over doorways, candles in every window and festive nicknacks scattered about. It looks like something out of a magazine, and may make visitors a little afraid to actually touch anything. There's also a lot of mistletoe around (one of the side effects of living with Captain Jack Harkness) so it's probably a good idea to keep one eye on the ceiling at all times.

Of course he's made plenty of coffee and some appetizers, so he hopes people really do respond to the invitation Jack sent out, otherwise there are going to be a hell of a lot of leftovers.]

[ He always thought all that talk about "fitting together like two pieces in a puzzle" was just that: talk. Empty romantic nothings with little to no connection to the real world, just something nice you could only find in fiction and then Kitty came along and little by little he realized there was nothing fictional about it. Sure, it wasn't a perfect immediate fit, but every day that passes it gets a little easier and a little snugger and then a day like today comes along where he can almost hear the click of their bodies fitting in together.

Very mushy thoughts to have indeed. It's a good thing they're in the shower. He breaks the kiss briefly to take a humid breath before pushing back in, one hand moving up to comb her wet hair back. ]

[She will be the most surprised! Of course, she doesn't realize the path has changed yet. She thinks he just wants to take his time with her, get her nice and worked up first and it's working very well if he's curious. She lets one of her arms come down so she can move it along his wet back, tracing patterns lightly on the skin. Her hips move against his hand. Welcome to the neighborhood, hand!]

It makes him think he's doing something right and a little bit of confidence can go a very very long way — there's a pleased sound muffled against her neck and then he moves a little further down over her skin, hunching over slightly as he crosses ~~the Delaware~~ her collarbone. ]

[ There's a shy glance upwards but he doesn't let it linger too long, mostly because he's afraid he'll lose his nerve if he thinks too hard on the fact that she's watching. Drawing a steadying breath, he leans in to kiss her stomach, hands settling in on either side of her hips to keep her steady. Little by little he inches downwards before making a detour along her upper thigh. ]

[She's nervous and feeling a little silly for it, but it's an excited nervous. This isn't her first time or their first time with it together, but it's still new. It's not something they do much and it's not something she is active in which means she mostly just experiences him pleasuring her. It's different—good different. She lets her hand lightly trail through his damp hair. The spray of the water covers some of the softer sounds.]

[ He's been lucky, no doubt about it. Sneaking in a shower together before engaging in this particular activity was originally just a way to ease his germophobia (something he knows is irrational and exaggerated, as phobias are wont to be) but since they already had a habit of getting frisky in the shower, it's becoming something more than that. It's their thing, has been so since their very first time together and although an overuse of anything will make it dull and mundane, there's still plenty left they could do before reaching that point.

Like this. He's been thinking about it and so far his theory is checking out pretty well. The rush of water means he can't hear her as well, but it's also soothing in an almost trance-like way. Clean, hypnotic, allowing him to focus on the task at hand instead of fighting off his insecurities. He moves in slowly, pressing kisses against her flesh until he can press his mouth on her, tongue dragging firm and gentle. With one hand still pressed securely against her hip, the other traipses down along her groin. ]

[ He assumed that if she didn't want him to do any or all of this, she would've let him know (her fingers are in his hair after all, all it would take is a tug) but catching that nod fills him with a lot of reassurance and confidence. Movements falling into a steady pace he soon moves back in to press his mouth against her, anxious to see just what that combo might do. ]

[ Mind over matter. He really wants to be able to do this once in a while and ample practice seems to be the best way to get over the kinks. If he's learned how to sift through crime scenes, as gross as it can be, it'd be a damn shame if he couldn't turn that on something good.

He continues what he's doing, pace firm and solid and ears trained to hear what he can hear through the rush of water. ]

As good as this feels it's always a little awkward that there isn't much she can do for him in this position. Her hands in his hair, but she doesn't want him to feel like she's petting him or something. Still, the time for serious thought on the subject has passed. For now you could say he has her very, very distracted.]
