[ He's nervous as they head down to the beach, backpack filled not only with presents but with a few choice items as well. Ritualistic. A ceremony he hasn't been a part of for years and that normally requires a month of preparations but here they are in the land of last-minute-surprises and Aidan can't pass up this opportunity. It's as close as he'll ever get to a Winter Solstice celebration ever again and although it isn't a pig being slaughtered and there's no designated boulder here, he'll do what he can with what he's got.

Hands bare and reddened by the cold, he reaches out to grab Helix's hand as they walk. Nervous. Excited. ]

Hey, y'all. Happy holidays and uh... and all that. [ Unsure if he did that right. They don't do Christmas where he's from and that's very much the point of this transmission. ] I was thinkin', I bet there's plenty of us that don't celebrate th' way the Wardens've set this up. We've got people from all over the worlds after all, it'd be weird if everyone did it just like this.

How do you do it back where you're from? Do you celebrate... Christmas or is it somethin' else?

Oh, and uh... I'll be doin' a little celebration type thing of my own down at th' beach, if anyone wants to join. Just a little somethin' from back home... bring a cup, if you're comin' down.

[ Action; open. Aidan can be found down at the beach together with Helix. They've set up a fire in one of the fire pits and anyone interested will get an introduction to the godless earth-worshipping religion that Aidan is a surprisingly devout follower of. He can also be found scurrying over the dome throughout the day, delivering GIFTS to friend and foe alike! If your character isn't on the list but has some kind of CR with Aidan, feel free to assume they got something useful and generic like a pair of gloves or a scarf! ]

	Not yet. [He's twice as grumbly because this is, of course, his own stupid fault.] I hate this place. [Even more than usual, he means. I can get that... keeps throwin' misfortune your way. [ Sigh. ] Oh. I got you somethin'... a Christmas present, I guess. I figured you could need some good things.

[ Handing over the package that is carefully wrapped in a new, clean kitchen towel and some twine. He was going to stick in some lavender twigs too for good health and then he realized he didn't have any. ]

[Zelgadis looks plainly shocked at the development, too much to respond more than putting out his hands to take whatever it is and pull the twine open automatically.]

[He blinks at the gift once it's open, his expression unreadable. He's not sure whether to feel awkward or touched or what.] This will help. [A pause as he grapples with words, conveniently filled with a cough.] ...Thanks.

They don't know each other that well, but... hell, that won't change unless one of them makes an effort to change it. ] Listen, uh... if you need anythin' else, let me know alright? I mean, I should probably tell you to not sleep on th' beach when you're all sick but... ain't my place.

...I don't know how you can. I got too -- [a sneeze interrupts him] -- too comfortable. That's all.

	I was focused. [Which is basically Zelgadis not wanting to admit that Aidan is right. But his misery was caused by his condition which is at least something worth being sulky about!
