[ Today is a Great Day. Double-capital letters, underlined with sparkles and everything. You could even call it the Greatest of days and it shows in Aidan's face as he flicks on the video function. ]

I got some great news, guys! I talked to th' wardens earlier today, an' it turns out they'll sponsor us with equipment and plants for th' memorial garden! I went ahead and claimed a spot in sector 4, so we should be able to get started any day now!

So, uh... yeah! That's comin' along! Lemme know if you've had any more ideas since th' last meetin'.

[ Aidan can be found down in the sector 4 gardening plots all afternoon, working up a sweat through weeding both his own recently claimed plot and the one for the memorial garden. Extremely amazingly good mood! Gardening does the soul good! ]

Oh, the plant! My mom used t' grow them back home so it's kinda... I don't know. A tribute or a reminder or somethin' like that.

That's a good reason. Lavender is a good plant for a lot of things, too. The scent will be a good relaxing element for the garden based on that alone, and the clippings can be dried or oils can be extracted for a lot of different things like aromatherapy and pain relief.

Yeah, she'd dry 'em and stuff 'em in little satchels. Said it'd keep th' moths away if you tucked 'em into th' linen closet.

I didn't know they could be used for all that though!

Oh, yeah. [If there was something Piper really excelled at, it was anything to do with herbs and recipes. Potions were in that category, especially with their ingredients, instructions, and the cooking element that often came with them.] A lot of common plants have interesting properties that are good for all kinds of things beyond the normal being eaten and looking pretty.

[ Nodding! ] I know some of that... like, some plants are good against nettle burns an' others keep th' bugs away. Nothin' but good ol' fashioned farmers knowledge though, 'm afraid... ain't a whole lot.

Well, I can always teach you what I know, too.

[She didn't mind sharing.]

[She smiled.]

Exactly.

I'll let you get back to this for now. Let me know when it's ready to start planting, okay?
