[Caroline comes on camera, she's at the Blood Shack. Seriously, what's the point of really hiding it anymore? She's a vampire, if people figure it out, they figure it out. But for now, nothing she does really screams I'M A VAMPIRE. Her thoughts have turned darker as of late but somehow she manages to ask this in her usual perky tone--]

So my fellow prisoners, question. If you had only a few days left to live or something what would do with that time? What's your, like, 'My last day on Earth or in Marnia' bucket list?

[with stefan, kinda like tyler, she can be herself. she's a vampire now, it's part of who she is but it's not her whole self, something he got and embraced. and she could be petty and insecure around him and he always guided her back to the rational approach but after letting her vent.

he'd guided her the same wa when she first turned, he'd been there when she needed someone the most, showed her the ropes, believed in her when it felt like no else did. elena did, she knows that, but this is different, it feels different.

it was friendship but now it's something deeper, something scarier, more confusing. and it can hurt a lot of people.

but caroline can be selfish as the rest of them even if she tries to pretend that she's not. so when he smiles at her, she swears her heart skips a beat, especially after she'd been ready to defend why she told elena, who had a right to know before this, whatever it is, went any further.

but before she can open her mouth, he's speaking again, saying words that give her a thrill, words that she can't even say 'yay' to before he's pulling her close and kissing her.

there's no robot, no curse, it's stefan and he's kissing her because he wants to, because he just might feel the same. her hands move to his shirt, fingers curling in the fabric at his sides as she draws him closer and kisses him right back, elation and selfish, selfish relief zooming through her at the speed of light.]

[It's a misconception that of the two brothers, Damon's the 'selfish' one. Stefan is just as selfish, if not more so in some respects. There's been more than one occasion where he's done something selfless, but that's only on the surface. He wants to be happy, to get what he wants, and he knows what he needs to do to get there.

And he knows that Caroline can be that way too, and yet somehow they balance each other at the same time, don't judge one another for going after what they want and dealing with the consequences later.

And there will be consequences for this, he knows. But right now he doesn't care. He's spent enough time caring about someone else's feelings, someone who does want him. And he's over it, he knows that now. And those feelings were holding him back, that and the thought that if he overstepped a boundary that she didn't want, Caroline might never look at him the same way.

But by the way she pulled him closer, kissed him back without a moment's hesitation, he knew that he hadn't needed to worry about that. That spark he'd felt at the Blood Shack had been real, and not just on his side. I had been real for both of them.

His lips part against hers, his tongue coaxing her mouth open as his free hand settles on her hip, his fingers firm against the small of her back, as he pulls her closer still, his hips flush against hers.]

[ the last thing caroline wants is to hurt anyone, especially tyler or elena. it's so complicated, everything about this place. elena's with damon but not, stefan and elena were that couple. but now, who knows. and if tyler showed up tomorrow, she's not even sure how she'd feel. right now, however, she knows what she's feeling now, even if it's something she can't quite put a label on.

which is hard for someone who used to be the queen of labels.

maybe they should talk this out more but caroline's honestly tired of talking. lip service feels a lot better and it's a lot more fun. and right now, after all the drama with matt and the way things between her and elena finally seemed to... mellow, she just wants a little fun.

see? selfish.

he deepens the kiss and her mouth yields to his, her hands sliding up his sides and to his back, splaying between his shoulder blades before restlessly moving to his chest.]

[There's also those pesky 'raging vampire hormones,' which are certainly flaring to life right now. There's an obvious heat between them, something he hadn't felt in a long time, not with all the drama and the uncertainty of, previously, his situation at home and then the fallout that followed when he got here.

Stefan isn't sure what any of this means, not right now, and maybe it'll be that much more complicated later when they figure it out. But there's no going back now, even if they stopped right now and never spoke of it again.

And that wasn't what he wanted anyway, and it was easy enough to be sure that she didn't either.

When's the last time either of them had some real fun? Stefan avoided fun, because having too much fun? That's when Stefan lost control, became someone he didn't want to be. This was different, though. This was just him and Caroline, and she wouldn't let him do anything she wouldn't do.

He deepens the kiss as she submits to him, his tongue sliding along hers, tasting her mouth properly. The fingers at her hip begin to idly play with the hem of her shirt, but he quickly grows impatient and his lips and hands break away just long enough to reach for his own tank top and pull it off over his head.]

[ to be fair, caroline has more fun than stefan. what? it's true. but yeah, it's the feelings and the raging teenage vampire hormones kicking in that are really making it hard for caroline to think straight or even beyond the way stefan's hands feel on her body or his mouth against her own.

things are getting heated when their tongues connect, she almost melts right then and there. she moans softly into his mouth, this kiss far less reserved than the one they shared in the blood shack.

okay, so she's day dreamed about this a few times. and she'll tell you, the real thing is way, way better. besides 'knowing what stefan salvatore kisses like' may or may not be on her bucket list.

just as his kisses become more demanding, he pulls back and his shirt goes flying off. she moves eagerly to touch his skin, her mouth finding his neck, sucking gently at the juncture of it as it slopes down into his shoulder, wandering upward along the column of it before she nips at his adam's apple.]

[Everyone has more fun than Stefan. Guilt happens to be a big party pooper, and Stefan has more than enough to go around.

Fortunately, said guilt is pushed far back into the depths of his mind, and while it will likely make its appearance sooner or later, he's not sure he'll be able to find it in himself to feel particularly guilty about any of this. Not when it feels good and right and right now.

Her moan vibrates softly against his lips, and his grip on her tightens in response, his arms slipping around her completely as his shirt hits the ground. Her lips don't come back to meet his again, but he doesn't mind, because there's a delicate suction against his throat, pinching but perfect, and a groan rumbles in his chest.

He tugs once at the bottom hem of her shirt before his hands are slipping beneath the fabric, pushing is up as his palms skim her sides. Because yeah, he'll be getting rid of that piece of clothing too, oops?]

[ his embrace draws her in closer and she feels warmth spread through her like a quickly growing fire. she wants to feel her skin pressing against his even if her mind is starting to tell her that they might want to slow things down.

but nope, her body wins this battle because the moment his hands slip beneath her shirt, it's like some switch flips in her head and there's no going back. she's tired of feeling lonely (and horny), she's tired of fighting with everyone. what they're doing may not be love but it's something like it and she lifts her arms so her shirt can join his on the floor.

her hands find his arms and she draws them back around her again, her torso bare save the dark blue, lacy fabric of her bra. once he's holding her again, her hands find his face and draw it to hers.] You're so hot. [ she whispers softly against his lips, meaning it in every sense of the term, he feels so warm against her even if really neither of them are and it goes without saying that she finds him attractive.]

[Slowing down would be the responsible course of action, and internally, Stefan knows that. He should be thinking about more than just the feel of her skin, of his lips pressing against hers, of how much he knows he wants her.

But he doesn't, because he's selfish and it feels good and it feels right. More right than anything has felt in a long time, because he hasn't allowed himself to be happy in just as long. He's tired of waiting to be happy for the sake of others, and as her skin presses against his, he knows that there's no coming back from this and he honestly doesn't care. Nothing that feels this good could possibly be wrong.

Her hands on his face brings even more fire, and his eyes find hers, the corner of his mouth quirking up at her words as his hands slip over the curves of her hips.] You're beautiful. [And she is, she always has been. It's one of those things that he's tried not to see, because he wasn't supposed to, not in the way that he did now as his fingertips toyed with the top hem of her pants.]

[ the problem is, she's gone without for what feels like so long that the feel of his hands on her skin, the press of his lips, it sends her into a frenzy. it may be those teenage hormones amplified by being a vampire or maybe it's just the pure fact that she's finally experiencing what it's like to be doing this with stefan salvatore.

it's one part wrong and two parts hot.

she doesn't want to hurt elena, she doesn't want to ruin the fragile peace that's between them now but it's hard to stop when stefan says stuff like that. because as much as she doesn't want to admit it, as much confidence as being a vampire has given her, she's more like rebekah than either of them know. the validation, the fact that someone (stefan) wants her is enough to make her melt into his arms.

so she moves to hitch herself up, legs wrapping around his waist as her arms wrap around his neck and she pulls him back into a desperate sort of kiss. ]

[As arrogant as he can be at times, he knows deep down that he's not that special, doesn't understand why anyone wants him the way he is, because he's weak and prone to addiction, and he carries his guilty with him wherever he goes.

And Caroline has always been the better person, the better vampire, than he ever was. He's terrible at being a vampire, and yet she has seemed so vibrant and alive and herself. She might think that she's been learning from him, but he's been learning from her too, and all of that has been building on itself for awhile now.

He wishes he could live the way she does, sometimes. As hard as it is to accept, he wants to love this life, because he can't have another. Not really.

His hands slide over her hips as she hitches her legs around his waist, and his hands settle on the undersides of her thighs, holding her firmly against him. He leans forward into her body as he essentially carries her into his bedroom, depositing them both on the comfortable bed there as he presses her back into mattress, not leaving any space between them.]

[ she might be the better vampire but that doesn't mean caroline doesn't think stefan is special. he is. to her. then again, caroline has a way of seeing the good in people, even people who don't deserve it sometimes ~~(your time will come rebekah)~~. not that stefan doesn't deserve it. she owes him her life, he's saved her enough times (and she's saved his too).

they're treading dangerous waters now and there's no one to save them from themselves. it's barely a few breaths before he has her pressing against the bed, his body over hers as she breaks the kiss. she looks up at him, lips kiss swollen, her hands sliding down his shoulders as she giggles, a bit astonished.]

You don't know how long I've wanted to do that.

[ the sad part is, he probably does, considering she'd made it obvious since day one. those feelings may have changed, morphed into friendship but now they're back in full force and she suddenly marvels at the fact she's on a bed, shirtless with stefan salvatore. her hands find his face again to pull him down for another series of heated kisses, trying to get lost in those lips.]

[Stefan knows he doesn't deserve it. There's so many things he'll never be able to make up for, so much pain he's caused to so many people, all the lives he's taken. But he can't pay for it if he's dead, so he's struggled to keep on living and somehow make things right a little at a time.

That tends to get screwed up too, along the way, but he does try to do the best he can. Most of the time.

Her fingertips trailing over his muscles sends a shiver down his spine, and he can't help but smile when she laughs like that.]

Then don't stop.

[Said as he lets her pull him down, the words coming out against her mouth before his head tilts further to kiss her deeply. His strong arms comfortably hold his weight over her, elbows pressed into the mattress while his hands cup under her ribcage, pulling her body up lightly against his while his hips roll forward into hers, pining them together.]

[ His wish is her command, honestly. When he says not to stop and pulls her up against him like that, she finds it hard to do anything but melt into that kiss. The heat between them is rising and she's having a hard time thinking clearly at all.

Her hands drag down his back, nails biting at his skin as her opens to his, lips parting so that they can taste one another fully. Of course, as she starts to get into it more, when he rolls his hips like that and draws a moan from her, her thoughts start racing. It's happening fast and while she doesn't mind that, she wonders what this might mean to Elena. Her eyes flutter for a moment and she breaks the kiss, her hands moving back to his chest, gently holding him back.]

Hold on, wait, [ she pants softly, eyes fluttering open to look at him.] Maybe we should slow down. [ Oh, it's clear she really, really doesn't actually want to.]

[He sucks in a breath against her mouth as her nails drag down the length of his spine, which does nothing but make him more impatient, and when he exhales again he's growling lightly in the back of his throat, the sound rumbling vibrations in their kiss.

So when she gently breaks away, her palms pressing back gently on his chest, he's not ready for it. His eyes blink a few times, focus properly on her face, his eyebrows slightly raised as his brain starts to work properly again.

He doesn't seem to be going anywhere, though. He looks at her expectantly, maybe even a little worried.]

I'm sorry...did I-?

[Do something wrong? Funny, he wasn't thinking about Elena at all. Oops?]

No, no-- [ she's quick to reassure him, her eyes meeting with his before she leans up to press a soft kiss to his lips.] Trust me, it's... amazing. [ Her mouth finds his for another kiss, maybe it's not the best plan when she's trying to clear her head for a second but it's hard to stop kissing him now that she's started.

One hand slides up to his neck, fingers running through his hair before she whispers against his lips.] It's just... I don't know. [ She really doesn't want to bring up Elena right now or Tyler. She wants to be selfish and get what she wants in that moment, right now. As she looks up at him, it's hard not to.]

[His expression visibly relaxes at that, becomes more open. He's listening, really, or he's trying to. It's really hard when she keeps kissing him like that, his eyes blinking shut each time, having to pull himself back each time she speaks.

His thumbs run over the gentle bumps of her ribs which become a bit more exposed each time she inhales. Her skin feels soft and wonderful under his hands.

...focus, Stefan, focus.

He takes a calming breath through his nose, still hard when she's talking against his mouth like that.]

You're worried about...other people.

[It makes sense, but he...doesn't care. Not about this. He meant it when he said it before. He has no reason to, not about this, being with her. But if Caroline does, then that's another story.]

She realizes that this must be how Elena feels about Damon. In a way. Does that make it okay? Caroline doesn't love Stefan yet but it could happen, it really could.]

[It's hard to hold back, especially when she says that, that she wants him. He wants her too, his whole body is basically screaming at him for it, and Stefan has never been very good at holding back when he's gotten a taste of something he wants.

It's part of the reason he's glad for his over-active conscience.]

We don't have anything to feel guilty about. We're not doing anything wrong.

[At least, he doesn't think so. Especially not where Elena is concerned. She's with his brother, or has made it no secret that she wants to be. He sees no reason why he shouldn't be able to be with anyone he wants, her friend or no. Stefan isn't sure about Tyler, though, but he's also...not here to get hurt. That might change sometime in the future, or it might not, and if it does.

Well, it would be no different than what had happened to him, now would it?]

[ It feels like she should feel more guilty, that she should see it as something wrong but when he says they're not doing anything wrong, she finds herself agreeing with him. The last thing she wants to do is hurt Elena but Elena has moved on, hasn't she?

The hand at the base of his neck tightens for a moment before she uses it to draw him back to her lips, the kiss no where close to being the tentative, soft kiss from before. No, it's laced with heat and hunger, the need she feels for him, the way her whole body seems to ache for more. And now that she's decided not to deny herself it, she uses that kiss to let him know that he's right, that he has to be right, her free hand sliding down his back to pull him back to her.]

[He doesn't resist the tug of her hands, simply gives in, logical thought once again flying out the window at the press of her mouth. He'd expected something more hesitant as they began again, but was surprised and pleased by how demanding she was, as if trying to make him forget about the short conversation that had just occurred.

It worked flawlessly.

He pressed her down into his bed as her arm pulled him in, one hand moving up to entangle in her long, wavy blonde hair, cupping the back of her head, while the other ran over her hip then under her thigh, hitching her leg around his waist. He only wished there wasn't still fabric underneath his palm.]

[ Okay, so maybe she should've put up more of a fight or something, thought about it longer but it's really hard when you haven't gotten laid in a while and you've got the thing you've secretly coveted right in front of you.

Not to mention those hands, yeah, those hands. She feels the strength behind them as they crawl over her body and he presses her into the bed even more, as one goes to comb through her hair and draw a moan from her. The sound vibrates their mouths as his hand urges her leg around his waist, something she was about to do anyways. Grinding her hips a little, she realizes how frustrating clothes really are and the hand not at the base of his neck moves to start tugging on his jeans, own feeling impossibly tight.]

[Stefan didn't see the point in resisting, in thinking about it, especially not now. The time for thinking about it would have been before she'd talked to Elena, before their feelings had morphed from friendship to whatever this was.

Now he was perfectly content to see it through, to find out what became of it. Because going back wasn't something either of them could do.

He certainly wasn't regretting his decision at all yet, especially not when he heard those little sounds she made, felt the way her body wriggled and ground against his beneath him. His hips shifted slightly to give her a bit of extra help with his jeans even while his hand moved from her hip to the closure on hers as well, flipping it open with his thumb and forefinger.]

[ Caroline's going to feel bad about this later, when it gets announced over the network for all to see. But for now, she's feeling anything but regret, oh no, she's feeling hotter than she has in a long time. And she's feeling needy especially when he starts fooling with the fastenings of her jeans.

Her own deft fingers get his unfastened and unzipped, her mouth pressing to his with a renewed fervor as she realizes how close they are to being naked, together. Her and Stefan Salvatore. Wow.]

[A small oversight on both their parts (or just his he's totally not even thought about that) but his only real regret is that Damon will know sooner rather than later. No doubt he'll get a sarcastic earful about it, and he won't want to hear it at all.

Another moment and her jeans are unzipped, and he's tugging on the seam that runs down her thigh, pulling them down over her hips, all the while his lips never leaving hers as their kiss continues to grow in intensity.]
