It seems to me that we could all do with some cheering up after what we went through back in that other place. I was thinking we should have some sort of get together for the sake of morale — give everyone a good boost back up. Maybe something like a potluck at one of the parks, where we all pitch in and bring what we like instead of us trying to cram as many bodies as we can into Merlotte's or the Blood Shack.

[There was also the fact that he was afraid (a bit) that she would consider it him trying to sway her to his side by telling her some things and not all the things. Eric, for all of his confidence, wants Sookie to be here with him because she wants to, not because of events that have happened to sway her in either direction. If she loves him for him, she's more likely to deal with the things he does that she doesn't approve of and will never approve of. Eric can attempt to be a better person for her (and he has) but in the end he is still a Viking and there's only so much self improvement a 1,000 year old vampire is going to go through.]

That doesn't erase that he did, that he tried to. That he wouldn't listen to me when I tried to stop him.

[ because that's a big thing for sookie, even knowing what she does about what bill did wrt being in league with the queen (especially after having met sophie-anne herself during the short time the bitch was here). bill wouldn't listen to her. bill wouldn't listen to her.. what had happened to him? was he always this way, was the bill she knew just some sort of act put on to keep her at his side? she didn't have those answers. ]
