[ the feed clicks on, showing a very consternated young woman. and then off. and then on! off! on! off! betty has no idea what she's doing, but there's a switch and she's flipping it back and forth angrily because she can't tell whether it's on or off and didn't pay as close attention to her welcome speech as she should have. ]

Stupid, bloody -- [ off. on. ] -- piece of -- [ off. on. ] -- even is this -- [ off. on, steadily now that she's taken the damn thing off and looked at what she was doing. that helps! but now she looks like she's about to cry and is trying very hard to be stiff upper lip about it. ]

What kind of prison gives you some comic book gadget, anyway? [ she takes some deep breaths now that the battle of the weird head thing is over. deep and calming, leading to an awkward pause as she realizes just what was on that list of crimes. now she's afraid and offended. ]

You know, that list of crimes is a bunch of bunk. If they think building bombs to stop Hitler is a crime then they're a bunch of Nazis!

[ probably (most assuredly) not the best first impression, but the feed clicks off again before she has a chance to fix it. ]

[ she might not be the height of fashion, but she's a lot more comfortable than she was. it's a little after dark when betty finally figures out how to work the map and find the blood shack. still a creepy name, and from a guy who goes around naked in front of people she's bracing for a den of inequity. which she will be okay with, considering she is betty, sexual invert and deviant freak, seducer of preacher's daughters even when that isn't what happened at all that goddamn liar-- okay. okay, just go in. if there are naked men just beat a retreat. ]

[ not... really how one casually enters a bar, but she's not comfortable enough yet to get her confident swagger back. ]

	[ she won't find a den of inequity, not exactly, but there is a stage with a throne on it and a stripper pole. Of course, there's a bar and behind that bar is a 6'7 viking. stepping inside, she's hesitant. okay, maybe not some seedy burlesque club (she assumes the pole is load-bearing) or full of jerks in zoot suits, but not exactly the jewel box either. ]

Pleasure to see you, in... [ she gestures haphazardly before pointing at his chest. ] Clothes.

[ there is awkward, and then there is anxious, and then, finally, there is betty mcrae in this moment walking to the bar with a little purse clutched to her stomach, elbows out, like she's some weird baby giraffe. ]
