[Action: Open!]

[So after a lovely day of an annoyingly enforced routine, Tyki's evening was finally given back to him and so he sought to make the most of it. Rations weren't something he was unaccustomed to, but when chickens are running around not so far away, it's easy to want for more. And with a distinct lack of fish to catch? Well, a fence is nothing for a hungry man to scale.

So back inside the kitchens Tyki's at one of the counters, plopping a dead chicken on it with two more hanging limply by the legs in his hand. He's not a man unfamiliar with a carcass, tossing the other two chickens down and reaching for a knife.]
Always hated birds with feathers to pluck.

[Private; Kitty Pryde (AOA)]

[Surprise, it's your favorite current-boyfriend bullying ex-something or other. And before you start to think that he's just calling you up (like he usually does) with no real reason, he actually has a reason this time! Granted, he also has bloody hands. But once he notices them he sort of drops them out of frame, offering the lens a grin.]

Hey, got something for you. If you want it.

Don't say I've never contributed anything. [Says Tyki, briefly caught in frame before he pans to the kitchen's counter where there are dead, plucked chickens resting. He heard about the inmates' little ration organizing deal and while formally offering his services is not exactly his style, he did kill two chickens more than he needed. Not that he's all that intent on participating in anything, already half-way to cooking his own beheaded bird.]

[Hey, he didn't do it for fun. Eats are important.

And he'll just watch that blood drop with an absent fixation.]
Not really. Catching them more so than killing them.

[Sorry, she's not buying that. But it doesn't seem to have impeded her mood. She might be after something.]

[The feather twirls and flicks in her grasp, her deep eyes watching it intently. She blows some air on it to watch it dance.]

You seem practiced at that. [The plucking and dismantling of said birdie.]

[It's true, believe it or not. He quite likes animals, but not enough to keep perfectly good chicken dinners off his plate. There's satisfaction in the kill, but only so much as the average hunter and prey. And mostly for chasing those damn birds around for however long it took him to grab them by the neck. But he's all for having a dark persona in other people's eyes.]

I prefer catching and frying fish, but I've eaten farmers' chickens before. [He shrugs, glancing away from her and the distracting feather to pull a handful out of the bird.] And a wild turkey once. That was fun.

[It's the word "fun" that has you painting yourself into a shadow, Tyki.]

I don't suppose I could convince you to share? [She leans forward on the counter, watching the process unfold. She's never seen a chicken plucked before.]

[Killing that thing was a sweet victory after it nearly pecked his face off.]

... I don't plan on eating all three. [He says offhand without looking up, prying feathers from flesh and rolling the bird over to get the last of them. So that's a bit of a yes, as close to it as you might get. He did kill more than he needed, but gifting your ex with a carcass may not turn out so hot and either way that third bird's just excess.]

Mm, I see. Perhaps you might let me use whatever you don't have plans for, to share at the dinner this evening.

[She's already got big plans for one of those birds, or more if she can get them. Her mouth forms a pleasant, knowing smile.]

I would be very grateful.

[Tyki and gratitude aren't exactly familiar, so being presented with it sort of has him give a shrug.] Consider one already yours.

[He already is reaching for the third just to pluck it. It's something to do as well as better to do before the feathers set in and are harder to pull.] Not sure how many will eat it from my hands, reassuring as it might be to have it pass through yours.

Your hands aren't worse than the Wardens'. [She can't speak for anyone but herself of course, but in her mind Tyki is more trustworthy than they are. Frightening though that is.] Thank you, Tyki.

Would you like some help cooking yours? As a favor for not making me bargain for mine. [She might actually have done so, considering how many people a chicken will feed if she does things correctly.]

Only if it fits in the same pot. [So to speak, he doesn't want her going to any unnecessary trouble for his sake when he can crisp it himself.]

I was thinking more a roasting pan. But either way, I'm sure it will fit. It's no trouble. [She's already fetching said pan, having inventoried the kitchen yesterday.] I quite enjoy cooking.

[And because reconnaissance is always relevant,] How was the security in the farm area, once you got inside?

Didn't see a soul. [Aside from the chickens, it was pretty barren. He starts to lean against a counter, but thinks twice after another glance at his hands.

He moves over to the sink to wash them.]
Fence seemed to be the only deterrent.

Hmm. It may be worth an expedition, then. [She glances over at his washing.] If it won't upset your plans, that is.

Mm, the facility. Whatever they have fenced off seems a good place to start. [She's not entirely sure what she's looking for, but she's not above breaking some rules to see if it's interesting.]

And you'd like me to accompany you? [He's amused.]

The fence is tricky, I'll give you a boost. [So yes, he'll go.]

Now?

Thank you. I'm sure it will be much easier. [Hardly necessary, she can leap ridiculous heights, but still easier.]

Whenever you're through with the chickens. I'll get them in the oven and then there will be plenty of time.

[She rests her chin in her hands.] You're not surprised that I'm so eager to break the rules?

It's a stupid rule to begin with, there are worse ones to break. [He imagines there are a plethora of rules she'd never break.

So he picks a speck of dry blood off his nail, adjusting his sleeve.]
I'm done with them unless you'd like 'em tied any special way.

[Never say 'never', sir. A person who says such things would never have bet on Lacus Clyne in Tyki's bed.]

No need, they're perfect as is. [She picks them up and into the roasting pan they go, surrounded by root vegetables.]

[Then she turns back while tying her long hair into an intricate but sturdy knot. It won't do to have it catch in the fence.]
After you.

[He just gives her a glance and then nods, leaving the kitchen without further adieu. He walks at a pace that's neither slower than her strides or lingering back for her. Again he's really wanting for a cigarette, so along the way his eyes end up back on her. At least until the chain link fence comes into view.]

[She is attention-grabbing, isn't she? Even in the most plain, generic attire possible.]

[As if to prove that point, once they're beside the fence Lacus springs up from a dead stand, flipping at the top of her arc and landing perfectly on her feet inside the perimeter. She hadn't wanted to touch it, just in case.]
Security is certainly more lax than at the other dome.

[Excuse him while he just witnesses that flip, placing his hand to the chain links. He's going to be a little less graceful, though the way he climbs up the fence shows he's got a knack for it, jumping down from the top to land fairly easy on his feet. He was actually looking forward to giving you a boost, woman. Instead you just took a jump off his ego and left it a bit squashed.]

Maybe they're not as well off. The other dome didn't quite care about a lot, beneath all the luxury.

Perhaps. [She watches him hop the fence, curious.] I had forgotten you can't use your abilities here. Is it very troubling?

[Obviously she still has all her faculties and assorted awesomeness, but it's not really a superpower so much as it's natural to her.]

It's annoying. [He says at first, before giving a shrug accompanied by a cocking of his head to one side.]

But no problems yet.
