Please tell me they have something synthetic on tap at that vampire bar everyone keeps raving about.

[ AUDIO | 98% UNHACKABLE | OPEN TO HACKERS ]
[ he leave a few holes in this filter, a teeny tiny backdoor in through it the right people are looking at it who have the know and the how to find it should be able to locate, nevermind find their way past. it's done deliberately, out of curiosity and personal need-to-know for possible future reference. never hurts to know who's sitting up there with you in the technological savvy. ]

If you've made it this far, then you're someone I'm interested in knowing. I'm Nikola Tesla, and you are...?

[ she stifled a laugh ] And what have you invented then? Please, I would be interested to know.

[ She is friends with Howard Stark, one of the greatest American inventors of her time. It would be difficult to compete. ]

[ he starts ticking off some of his more widly known inventions off on his fingers. ]

Alternating current, the induction motor, x-ray, lightning rods, telegeodynamics... Oh, and radio. Need I go on?

[ her surprise is visible as she takes in the many and varied inventions, recognizing most if not all. Telegeodynmics? She can guess, but she had never been very good with the more advanced sciences. She left that work to people who had imagination like Dr. Erskine and Mr. Stark. ]

That is an impressive resume. I will have you know that your work has been put to very good use. The radio is a particular favorite of mine. [ it was the only taste of home some of the soldiers had for months an years at a time it seemed. Had it really only been a handful of years? ]

Thank you, and you're welcome. [ you're helping his ego here, peggy. he's rarely appreciated for his scientific accomplishments these days. ]

[ which is such a shame. The radio truly has done wonders for the world. ]

Have you been working on any other inventions, since your time here? It must be difficult, I would think, surrounded as you are with such advanced technology.

[ it had been (and still was) overwhelming for Peggy ]

Here? [ a shake of his head. ] No, I tend to regard my presence in Underwater Wonderland as more of a vacation than a business retreat.

[ he doesn't comment on the technology, though he'd be lying he said he wasn't intrigued — even more so that he wasn't humbled by it. both were true, though one would have an easier time getting him to admit to the former than the latter. ]

[ the abrupt headbutt to her shoulder made Peggy turn, demanding she pay attention to the tack she had been removing but moments before. It gave her a welcome moment, as it was, to digest his words. ]

It is rather more like a vacation then a prison, doesn't it? Even the so-called punishments seem fairly tame in comparison.

[ she said it cautiously, tentatively. It was for that reason alone that Peggy never truly felt comfortable in the dome. It never felt quite right. ]

They're downright ridiculous, if you ask me. It's almost as if they were deliberately designed to be more of an annoyance than a punishment.

I believe we are in agreement then. I'm not at all sure what they hope to have us learn from such meaningless and petty acts of contrition.

[ but then she relents ]

At least it is a step up from the stockades of yore at least.

[ he turns to her finally, extending a hand by way of deciding to properly introduce himself. ]

Nikola Tesla.

[ she returns his handshake with a firm grip, well used to men who perhaps don't quite know their full strength. ]

Peggy Carter. It's been a pleasure making your acquaintance. [ and slightly reminiscent of her discussions of old with her friends Mr. Stark and Dr. Erskine. They did like to so challenge her mind. ]
