Please tell me they have something synthetic on tap at that vampire bar everyone keeps raving about.

[ he leave a few holes in this filter, a teeny tiny backdoor in through it the right people are looking at it who have the know and the how to find it should be able to locate, nevermind find their way past. it's done deliberately, out of curiosity and personal need-to-know for possible future reference. never hurts to know who's sitting up there with you in the technological savvy. ]

If you've made it this far, then you're someone I'm interested in knowing. I'm Nikola Tesla, and you are...?

[That addresses a few queries, though not another.]

Your name is not unfamiliar. Your chronological point of origin, however, would present a temporal contradiction within my own timeline.

Or I'm still making a habit of keeping my head below water. You don't fake your death only to reemerge a few centuries later and shout psych!

According to the date of birth recorded in my own timeline, Doctor Nikola Tesla would reach one hundred and fifty-five years of age in the year from which you were taken.

[ And that's old for a human even when Data's from. ]

That's 155 years, 10 months and 3 days, but who's counting?

[ he's... not human. ish. it's complicated, and there's some vampirism mixing in there—but hey, genetic vampires! that's fascinating, right? ]

It would appear that you are.

[ Yes sometimes he does reply to things that were not intended for responses. Curious. Also skeptical. ]

May I inquire as to how it has been possible for you to reach such an advanced age?

[ So tactful. ]

[ it's okay, sometimes he does, too. not for android reasons so much as he's nikola tesla and sometimes that's synonymous with obnoxious. ]

Not at all. I participated in a series of blood experiments in the late 1800s. I'm not exactly at liberty to discuss any of those details, but suffice it to say, I haven't aged a day since. Genetics are a wondrous thing, my friend. Lots of secrets within seemingly ordinary human DNA just waiting to be unlocked.
