[Bart didn't know which was worse: waking up in prison, losing his superpowers, or receiving the ugliest jumpsuit known to mankind. He wasn't a stranger to law enforcement, having been on both sides of the equation, but Marina's new territory. It's like the sick, twisted love child of Atlantis and Belle Reve (complete with free ankle monitor! all yours for the grand price of your freedom!)

Unable to take off the monitor, Bart had settled for turning off his comm device and heading to the nearest clothing store. Thank god he'd woken up in Sector 4 - running would've been a pain in the neck. Unfortunately, he also doesn't have cash.

He wouldn't steal under any other circumstance, but people usually expect cash. That's just how capitalism works! If anyone asks, they never saw him. Of course not, because the kid who entered in a jumpsuit and the kid who left in a red t-shirt and white jeans aren't the same person. Absolutely not. Especially since that second kid had already dumped his prison jumpsuit into one of the inventory bins.

It would've been the perfect crime ~~not that he knows everything's free~~, but his conscience is making his heart race again... and of course, the second he tries to leave, he hits the door face-first and falls hard onto the floor (activating his voice feed in the process). Goddammit.]

Oh hey, this thing's on... [Bart fiddles with the feed some more, before hastily adding:] Ignore the man behind the emerald curtain, y'all. No - seriously, I'm not the tech guy, that's kind of Chloe's thing. I barely understood Twitter, I don't particularly get Facebook, and these wardens expect me to use this thing without breaking it? Or well, it seems simple enough, it's just... you know, prison tech. The last prison didn't have tech nearly this sophisticated.

[He's speaking rapidly about how much tech isn't his thing, even without his super-speed, until he remembers where he is. Bart coughs.] Right, sorry, fair people of Marina Novella. Nova? Marina Telenovela? Whatever we're called, I'll catch you on the flipside. Assuming that, you know, I don't get out of here on parole first.

As you may have noticed from your lack of a trial, the legal system around here doesn't quite work like the one you're used to. [Sorry, dude. No parole for you.]

But, hey, this place isn't too bad most of the time. Its got a beach, an arcade, all the free food you can eat, and more than a few babes. [It's really a prison paradise when you think about it.] The only thing it's really lacking is an exit.

	I don't know, it seems even more broken than the one back home. [Not that, you know, a prison had ever been able to keep him before either.] Problem is, I'm more interested in a---wait. [He whistles softly.] Definitely. That's kind of a dangerous combination for me, man. I'm pretty sure they'll regret that decision the second I find somewhere to eat...

[Bart's honestly expecting them to kick him out at some point, considering plenty of restaurants've done so in the past.] So how long've you been here? Enough to know which places're great and which aren't?

[Another laugh.] None of the places have kicked me out yet, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. [You're not the only one that's been frequently dismissed before.]

I've been here for about a month. [Give or take.] As for where to go, I personally find all the restaurants to be top notch. So it really depends on what you like, or what you're in the mood for. [Basically, he recommends everything.]

Awesome! It sounds like I've got some pretty fun culinary adventures ahead of me, assuming I'm not secretly allergic to something. [Already distracted by food, when all he wanted was just a way back to Central City...] Thanks.

I guess this place can't be that bad.

	[If Wally was really thinking about it, he'd probably be able to make some connection to his "cousin" who showed up with the same name on the day that Artemis did the first time given the clues. 'Fastest Man Alive', huh?

[The near confirmation that the guy's a speedster and the use of his Uncle Barry's tag-line actually makes Wally stop and think for a moment, and he's able to make that connection to his "cousin" now. And there can't be too many speedsters named Bart, right? But there's only one way to see if he's right.]

Okay, this might be a little weird, but your last name wouldn't happen to be Allen, would it?

Not that. [He'll also ask about the Defense Force later, because that's really not ringing any bells.] You know that energy we tap into when we run? Mr. Garrick called it the Speed Force. He said...

[Bart inhales sharply.] The crazy old man said it connected us somehow. [Not that Bart believes a single word of it.]

Also, while I can believe you meeting another me, we can't be related. I've only heard your name once before, when I first had the Force running through my veins. [Bart's no stranger to alternate universes, thankfully - he's already had some unfortunate luck with Earth-2. He's more concerned that other!Bart was related to Wally. He may not remember life before the Speed Force, but he thinks he would've remembered being related to another speedster.]

Jay's never mentioned anything about a 'Speed Force' to me. Neither has Barry. [There's no tapping into anything when they use their powers, at least that Wally knows of. Plus, he's never experienced anything like what Bart described.] I mean, the three of us got our powers from the science experiment and, well, that's that.

Huh. My grandfather wasn't Barry Allen. But if this Barry's your uncle...

[Uncle through marriage, right? It doesn't sound like they're related by blood. Bart pauses for a few seconds as he attempts to switch the feed from voice to video. Once he does, though, he manages a nervous smile.

He's a little bit younger than Wally's uncle, certainly, but it's otherwise the same guy.] ... Does he look anything like me?

[Unfortunately, Wally doesn't look familiar to Bart (as he hasn't met Iris yet), but.. he figures he'll know the kid well soon enough.] I'm pretty sure, yeah. I was the first in my family to get my powers.

Plus, if he were my granddad, I should've been Bartholomew Henry Jr. or something, instead of, you know, just Bartholomew Henry Allen.

[There's a reason he goes by "Bart" as opposed to "Barry" ~~and it doesn't have to do with legal rights, of course not. That'd be silly.~~]

Well now that you mention it...

[Bart's voice actually does sound similar to Barry's; so much so that Wally thinks "kinda weird" doesn't even begin to describe what's going on here. Seriously, if he were to take away the fact that the guy's name was Bart, he'd swear this guy was a younger version of his Uncle.]

How do you feel about Italian food? [He can't deal with all of this on an empty stomach.]
